Base pay of RN BSN in LTC

Specialties Geriatric

Hello everyone!

Pls give me some idea how much is the base pay for an RN with BSN, over a year of experience. I am trying to apply some nursing home here in Greensboro,NC..

Your output is very much appreciated!

I was told that they are offering me 19.10/hr, i think that is lowball...u think??

From what I have asked in my clinicals and even in my current job BSN doesn't make that much more if any then your associates unless you get a position higher then a floor nurse. This goes for LTC facilities and at the major hospitals. I understand that it is 2 more years of school but Associates or BSN both nurses come out as new grads needing entry level positions, its all about experience.

I'm starting my LTC job/ first RN job at 22.75 and that includes a shift differential. Around here new RN start around 24 ish in hospitals, so I figure it is good considering.

One place offered me 18/ Hr with 7 years exp. Another offered 26.

With 7 years of experience 18/hr?? That's an insult! Pure and simple.

I am in Alberta Canada I make 46.86/hr the same across province this is for all nurses who have 9 yrs of working.
