What are my chances of getting in at Middle Georgia State College?

U.S.A. Georgia

I'm getting ready to apply to the BSN program in January. My GPA is currently a 3.53. I know that my school doesn't interview, they base their selection on GPA and HESI score. I've already started preparing for the HESI. However, I've always done almost good enough on standardized tests (I got a 1500 on my SAT and a 2 on my AP English Exam, I needed a 3 to clep the introductory courses). I met one of the criteria to get into A&P, which I will begin in the fall, and almost met the rest of them.

I suppose I'm just really nervous.

What was your GPA & HESI score when you got in? Any books you recommend for studying?

Thanks!

I think with your current GPA you have a good chance of getting in the first time applying. All you need to do is score in the high 80s on the Hesi and sit and wait for your letter in the mail. Good Luck!

Thanks! Are you in the BSN program at Middle GA State? What was your GPA and HESI score?

I've been accepted into this coming Fall program. When I originally applied I thought I only had an 3.68 but after talking to the advisor it was actually 3.74 and my HESI was an 87 with a critical thinking score of 970 out of 1000.

You're a genius. I'm not applying until January but I'm going to start preparing for my HESI now. Especially the Math portion. Math is not my strong suit.

You're going to do fine. As far as the math went I remembered seeing a lot of fractions and ratio questions. But honestly most of it was basic math, like literally basic. There's a calculator on the screen that you can use as well, oh and they give you scrap paper if you need it!
