Well I am pretty much heart broken...My letter did not even tell me I was competitive. They told me "qualified based on all admission criteria but did not rank for a position." I have a 3.57 and have never made a "C" BIG SIGH!!!

Good Luck to those who got in! and to those that didn't, continue on your path. I'd go around the wall myself instead of going over it. Ciao!

I am just reading these post and it's crazy not a single one of you got in . That seems unfair almost like it's not you guys but West ga system itself. Just keep applying to other schools you will get in somewhere. It's good to have backup schools and plans. Keep your head up. AshBrock did you get yours?

Unfortunately I also was rejected. She had to email me my acceptance because my letter was sent to my old address. So I just found out like an hour ago.
So disappointing. Second time around applying.
Congrats to all who got in though!!!
I meant email my "decision"

Hi Everyone,
Please remember, there are only 120 seats and I cannot begin to imagine how many people applied. All of you seem to be very good, capable students. I was wait-listed and the only reason I wasn't turned down is because I have a Bachelor's in Communications. Please don't beat yourselves up and I won't either. Please do not give up! I really see this as a lack-of-seats/professor situation. I am sure that if there were more seats, we would all be in because we all have good grades.
I truly am so happy for the ones that made it in. I really am not happy with the school, and their point system. I think the school should tell you how much having previous degree will count, or how much taking at least 15 hours at UWG will count, I think you get my drift. If I had known these things I would not have applied. It was a waste of my time and energy. I will never be competitive at that school, becuase My GPA is 3.57, I will never have a previous degree, I have taken all my courses so I will never have 15 credit hours at UWG toward my core classes, I don't live in Coweta, I am not an LPN.
I think they need to think about how they list their requirements. This would keep people from applying (like me) that can never be competitive. It would keep the amount of applications down, making their work load less. This is my thought of how it should be written:
Minimum GPA 3.70 UNLESS you have;
A previous Bachelor's degree
Live in Cowetta county and are applying for the Newnan campus
Have taken 15 or more core credit hours at UWG
or are an LPN
If you meet these requirements you may apply with a 3.0
I am not as upset that I didn't get in, as I am that I wasted my time. It is ok if I am not qualified for this school, but it would be nice to know this upfront.
Oh.It's okay you will get in somewhere. What school are you going to apply to AshBrock?
What is the other campus besides the Newnan and Cowetta?
I'm waiting to hear from UNG now. Hopefully I'll hear some good news.
Good Luck!!!
