Questions about KSU Accelerated Nursing Program

A little bit of background. I'm planning on applying to KSU for the Summer 2010 accelerated BSN program. I already have a bachelors degree and have been working in Environmental Engineering/Consulting for about 3 years. I have 7 of the 12 pre-reqs left to complete, but I'm working full time so I can't attend classes during the day.

1) Will taking my pre-reqs at Georgia Perimeter College online (with the exception of labs of course) affect my chances of being accepted into the KSU program?

2) Has anyone taken any of these classes at GPC (either online or on campus)? Tips? Teachers to look for/avoid?

Math 1107 (statistics), Psyc 1101 (general psyc), Psyc 2103 (developmental psych), Biol 1611 (A&P 1), Biol 1612 (A&P 2), Biol 1913 (micro).

3) Has anyone successfully substituted another math class for stats?

4) I'm also looking at different hospital vollunteer opportunities. Any suggestions for the Alpharetta area? I've looked into Northside at Fulton and am currently scheduled to attend vollunteer orientation on 2/18, but I'm open to others, too.

5) Any other tips to improve odds of being accepted?

You might want to make sure that they will have an accelerated program in Summer 2010. I know I applied for Summer 2009 and they are not having an accelerated program. I just had to do the traditional. Just make sure you check up on it. The traditional is only a semester longer so its not too big of a difference.

I believe they're only offering the accelerated program for fall start (first two semesters in Rome and second two at Kennesaw) and spring (only at the Jasper campus). They're building a big new nursing building right now. I'm not sure when it opens, but I'd guess they might have the accelerated programs on the Kennesaw campus and maybe add back the summer start.

I applied for Fall 2009, interviewed this week, and am waiting on the decision letter.

Also, I did take most of my prereq's at GPC, both of my Chemistry's online. GPC courses are fine. I'm not sure if it matters whether or not you take them online. They have pretty flexible class sceduling. Online classes can be more difficult since it's up to you to teach yourself the material. I think I would try to take what classes I could on campus and do the others online.
