I haven't seen a discussion for 2013 Piedmont College Nursing Applicants so I wanted to start one. That way we can compare stats and support each other through this. I know I am a nervous wreck waiting for an interview call!

What's everyone's Nursing GPA and TEAS V scores for Reading & Math?

I have a 3.4 Nursing GPA

TEAS V Scores: 95.6% Reading and 90% Math.

I am worried that my GPA is going to be my obstacle. My first couple years of college I did not take things seriously at all and my GPA suffered, horribly. I've had a couple of retakes in science courses a few years ago, so I know that pulls down my chances a little bit. But now that my head is on straight, I have gotten all A's the past 3 semesters and I am really hoping Piedmont believes in second chances! What's the saying? "Every Saint has a past and every Sinner has a future" :) Piedmont said their average GPA of accepted students last year was a 3.5

Piedmont is my first choice. I was denied from Brenau (they take allllll credits into consideration). I have also applied to NGCSU, Athens Tech, Gwinnett Tech, Georgia Perimeter and Mercer.

Okay! That sounds great! Hopefully we'll both get in! Fingers crossed! :)

That is awesome news! :) Another girl I know who applied to Demorest got hers today too! Hopefully I'll get mine soon for Athens!

@ Nicole - I received my acceptance letter yesterday as well. I got accepted at the Demorest Campus. Did you get accepted at the Demorest or Athens campus? I am so excited. I am really curious who will be attending Demorest with me, because I do not know anyone who applied there first choice...

Hello all,

Congrats to u all that have made in the program. May your journey into the nursing industry be prosperous and blessed. I have no doubt in my heart that you all will one day make excellent nurses. May i ask u all a question? Well, I was wondering what am i to be expected for this interview process in order to apply for the nursing program? Can you give me some examples on the questions that were ask from you all? Thank you all so much. I am currently working on my prereq's and anticipating on applying maybe sometime next year. Again thank you all for your time & God bless you!!!!

Aries1573: Hey! I can tell you what they asked me at Piedmont for my interview! (I got accepted:) YAY!!!) BUT here are a few that I remember, and the interview wasn't long:

-Why do you want to become a nurse: just a tip don't say because you love people and want to help them, expand on that give real and meaningful reasons.

-What do you do to deal with stress, how do you manage it when you have three big tests in one week?

-Tell us some of your strengths and weaknesses: Another tip, focus more on your strengths than your weaknesses, but still give one or two weaknesses.

-Have you ever worked in a health care related field?

And for now that is all I can remember, if I think of more I will let you know:) Ohh! And, they will ask you if you have any questions for them, try to have at least one or two questions.

For example I asked which hospitals we would get to do rotations in and I asked what all we will get to see and experience during our rotations.

Hello everyone. I know I am a little late with this, but I will be attending the Athens campus in the fall. I am really anxious and excited. I am checking the mail every day in hopes to receive the packet they have us looking for. Anyone hear anything lately?
