Is ATL and surrounding areas a good place for a changem

Ok so I currently live in Lafayette, LA. I was looking at starting a new life in GA, preferably Atlanta or surrounding areas. I will be one year into my nursing career and I have worked on a medicine floor. I have no kids, not married, and plan to go back to school for my NP soon. Any advice? I was also looking at possibly going to Dallas. Thanks in advance!

Nursing is rough right now as far as finding work if you dont have much experience. A year of exp will probably still leave you in the new grad category as far as most hospitals are concerned. If you are really interested in working in Atlanta, I would secure a job BEFORE the move.
As for salary, depends on where. Each hospital system seems to have a different payscale. With your experience I would expect somewhere around 25/hr, give or take a few dollars, adding whatever shift differentials apply.
