I am applying for the ACE Nursing Program for Spring 2015. Anyone out there applying? Were you able to sign up for the NURS 2010 prerequisite? SNHP 3000?? Apparently, I did a class look up and all the spots for the NURS 2010 class were filled already for Fall 2013 and I am freaking out since I wasn't able to register anyway until August 20th it says... Is anyone going through this or has gone through this? I am wondering whether GSU will still accept me for the ACE program if I am not able to register for the NURS 2010 class before the program starts :facepalm::nailbiting:

My understanding is that all prerequisites must be completed before starting the program. I took PSYC 2013 Intro to Human Development online thru Georgia Perimeter; at the nursing school info session they said it is an acceptable substitute for NURS 2010. I would recommend contacting an advisor to check on what you need to be ready. I sat down with someone from the nursing school during open advising hours and and they were very helpful. Thats good to know. Im currently taking may PYSC 2103 and I was wondering about that NURS 2010 class as well. Thanks for sharing

Hey thank you I ended up taking that class too, (psych 2103) at GPC, and will have officially completed all my core and pre req classes after this semester!!! I hope to see you there if I get accepted into the Spring 2015 ACE track I am retaking my TEAS on Sept 6 after getting a 77 (didn't really study). What TEAS score do you have and what's your GPA? Please share :)

I'm considering applying for the ACE Fall 2015 program and am trying to figure out what would transfer to satisfy the snhp 3000 class. Any ideas? I would also need to satisfy the area B requirements- 2 courses, either phil 1010, spch 1000, pers 2001, or pers 2002. I'm currently at UGA, but will likely take a few courses over next summer at GPC to help meet the prerequisites. All advice is very much appreciated!

I scored a 95 on my TEAS. I dont know what they calculated my GPA to be since I have a previous Bachelors degree...I have As in A&P, Chemistry, Math, Abnormal & developmental Psych, and I think a B in stats. I do have a few Cs on my transcript (French, Organic Chemistry) but since they are not required coursework, don't know if they used them to calculate my GPA. I am currently enrolled in Micro and the SNHP 3000 to finish up my pre-reqs

At the information session I went to last year, they made it sound like it is very, very rare for them to accept a substitute course for SNHP 3000. It is offered in the summer - traditional as well as study abroad during Maymester, I believe they are going to Nicaragua.

I don't think you can substitute perspectives. Phil 1010 and Spch 1000 you should be able to get those done at another school. As for the Snhp 3000, you probably won't be able to replace it.
