Thanks so much Shicurls! I really want to go to GSU, it is my preferred school but I know how competitive the program is and so I am also trying to be realistic. I take it you like the program?

@jenbrewington I did, the people you meet keep you going. I was a fall '11 ACE'r and am an employed RN.

So the deadline has passed and all we can do now is wait! I know it's too early to start checking my mailbox, but I'm so tempted to. If anyone gets their decision, post here so we can congratulate you!

Last semester I received my wait list letter around three weeks out from the deadline. So you should expect to hear something around the 21st. But, that is not to say things can't come earlier because crazier things have happened! I am really anxious to hear from GSU

I just wanted to touch base with everyone and see if anyone had heard anything (which I doubt, but figured I would ask)? It has been awfully quite on here lately

@jenbrewington I haven't heard anything as of yet. Of course, it's probably way too early to tell at this point. I'm trying not to worry myself about it, so I've only been checking AN periodically. But I wish everyone the best of luck!

I haven't heard anything either but figured I would check, I know for spring we started to get letters around the end of October so I suspect we should start hearing around the end of March. I have not been successful at not being anxious as I am sure you can all tell

Hmm thought i was the only impatient one. Read ur past comment about it taking roughly 3 weeks to getting any notice still yet i check my mailbox everyday. Have gone as far as restricting my husband from checking the mailbox. I want to be the recipient of my admission letter

I did the same thing!!! I told him if something comes put it back in the box and have me check the mail when I get home

I applied for the ACE track, and am anxiously waiting to hear back. Does anyone know if it's strictly by grades/TEAS, or if we have good references and healthcare experience, if it helps at all?? I'm a second degree student, so my program GPA isn't a 4.0 or anything, but I did well on the TEAS. I'm hoping that two years of experience in home healthcare at least helps make up for my gpa.

    Good luck to everyone!!

@hopecharleigh From what I know, the program admits on a points system. You get certain points for things such as grades in your science courses, references, experiences, essay, grades, teas, being a ga state student, etc. When I entered the ACE program last fall, I didn't have a 4.0 gpa or any prior healthcare experience but I assume the rest of my application made up for it. Good Luck !
