I just applied for Georgia Southern's Spring 2015 nursing program, and I am SO nervous! My overall GPA is a 3.43, so I do not feel very confident. However, I scored a 91 on the HESI, and I think that my essay sounds great. What are my chances? If anyone has applied to Georgia Southern's nursing program, what was your GPA and were you accepted or rejected? I'm driving myself crazy! :(

Hey! I applied for the Fall 2014 semester and got in. I start in 2 weeks. I applied with a 3.8 and 95 on the HESI. I'm not sure of the lowest GPA they accepted, but I did see someone with a 3.59 get in for the fall semester also. How are your science grades? If your sciences grades are good, you have a good HESI (which you do), and a good essay, I think you have a pretty good shot at getting in. Good luck!!

@patiently_waiting My science grades are A's and B's, mostly B's though. Is that good or bad?

It's good, but it honestly depends on the pool of applicants. Regardless, I think you have a good chance of getting in. Just make sure your essay is A1. You already have the HESI score down. Now you just have to wait and see.

Okay, I'm just going to hope for the best. Congrats on getting in by the way, and thank you for responding! I feel a little better :)

Hi I just applied for spring semester also. I am very nervous I have a 3.49. It would of been a 3.57 if I hadn't taken pathophysiology over the summer. I know that most people say spring is easier to get into and it just depends on the GPA average of students who applied so Im hoping mostly 3.4-3.5 applied! A girl I know that got in last spring she said she know people who got accepted in the spring with a 3.4, so that gives me a little hope. I did also hear the essay was important too. Is this your first time applying?

Specializes in MH, ED, ICU.

I'm in patho now, and the majority of my class seems to have applied for this upcoming semester. They all say (don't know how true it is) they have 3.8-3.9 which is higher than me! Ugh.

Nervous that I might not get into the nursing program at Georgia Southern. I have a 3.73 GPA, however, my HESI scores are making very anxious I made an 85 overall. My reading score was a 90, Math 94, VOCB 84, A&P 86, and grammar 78. Anyone have any advice?

Hi "reaching4success" , I applied for fall 2018 too! We should hear back in the next couple of weeks right?

Starting this week because they said 4-6 weeks, and this is the 4th week since we have applied

Awesome! Best of wishes!!

Did you get in? I have a similar GPA but haven't taken my test yet so I'm hoping for the best on that.
