U.S.A. Georgia

Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

Thank you. This helps a lot. Do you guys think it is more competitive for the spring? Are there any scholarship opportunities for spring applicants? This info helps so much!

Hi guys! Quick question. Did you single or double space your essay for the Wellstar program?

Thanks!!

I double spaced...I would have really been rambling if I hadn't. :twocents:

I single spaced....but, I made the font 14 instead of the typical 12

I also single spaced with 14 font.

I am going to register today at 1125. Let me know if anyone else goes today.

I am going at 11:45.

I went this morning to register. They just check-off your items and register you. I was told classes are Tue, Wed, & Thur and that one day would be a full day and the other two are from 9-12.

That's pretty much it! You fill out a registration sheet and give it to Bar*bara (nursing dept secretary) and she checks to make sure all of your stuff has been done. Then she gives you your folder and the registration sheet, and then you wait to see Dr. R*es. She will congratulate you and then tell you what the schedule is. (I think if you still have any classes to take, she will talk to you about that too.)

I believe it is Wednesday that is the full day for class. She also mentioned that SOMETHING was 40% online. Everything was going so fast, I'm not sure exactly what she was talking about. She mentioned that for the first 9 weeks we would have labs instead of going to clinicals. Maybe that was what she was talking about being online???

So, basically we will have Mondays and Fridays off. Maybe now I can put together my school/work plan.

She didn't mention anything to me about different "sections" having different schedules...so maybe that is only for the Marietta people. ???

That is awesome about not going on Mon. My Daughter is in preschool Tues & Thurs, so now I just have to get a sitter one day instead of 2!!

I did find out that 141 students were accepted and ~320 applied. It was easy today and I can now relax until the wellstar interview. Has anyone bought a stethoscope yet? I am still confused on which one I should buy. I can't decide if I want to spend more money on a Littman or get the cheap one.

I'm glad you asked. I was wondering about that myself. I am also curious as to the avg age of the accepted nursing student. I'm sure we would definitely not get that info in any formal fashion. I'll just scan the room when we go to the keys to success workshop. Ha! ...today I arrived a few minutes early for my appt and noticed how super young all the dental hygienist students were. It made me feel like an old fart at 31!
