Georgia as a Compact State?

  1. Apparently joining the nursing licensure compact is a Georgia Nurses Association legislative priority for 2017: 217 Legislative Priorties - Georgia Nurses Association/Foundation

    Interesting!

The Nurse Licensure Compact Bill was signed into law by the Governor on yesterday. Pending approval by the National Council of the State Boards of Nursing, Georgia nurses will now have the benefit of obtaining their home state license and a multistate license which will allow them to practice and teach in other jurisdictions who are members of the NLC without having to obtain a license for every state in which they conduct business.

I was just coming back to this thread to post this information! Will our Georgia licenses automatically be converted to multi-state if we are Georgia residents?

I just read the eNLC won't go in effect until 26 states enact of Dec 31,2018 occurs. So this means we aren't taking part until then?
