Hello Everyone,

I was following the acceptance forum for Clayton State Fall 2011. It was very interested and informational so I thought I would start one of my own. I just transfered to Clayton. My first semester will be Summer 11. If everything goes will I will apply for Fall 2012 nursing program. I have A&P I, A&P II, Micro, Stats, Psyc, and Patho to complete before applying. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with summer instructors. I plan to take A&P I and another course for the summer.

I just got through taking the Teas V exam. I am thrilled to say I scored 91.3, which was in the 99 percentile for the nation. I was about 3/4 of the way through the exam when mine and another guy's computer crashed. It took about 40 minutes for them to get it back up and running. I was so stressed out by all of this. Thank God I still did ok on the test. I sure hope I can get it the program this fall. My GPA is a 3.61 and math/science GPA is a 4.0. I hope all of these score will be high enough.

Does anyone know if I took my A&P classes in 2002 & 2003, will they count them or will I have to take them back over?Also, what advisor can talk with to get info (you can inbox me)

You can call the nursing school's number and follow the prompts to speak to the administrative assistant who should be able to answer your question. If she can't answer it, she will most likely transfer you to an adviser(which adviser you will have depends on your last name) who will speak with you or return your call.

Congrats!!! That's a great score. I would have been freaking out too if that had happened to me. I am sure you will get an interview with those stats. I scored 83% when I took the test last fall. My math/science gpa is 4.0 and my overall is 3.47. We are similar. You should have no problem. I saw Mrs. Hicks last semester and she told me to not worry about taking the TEAS again since my gpas were so high. Have you applied yet? I just did the online application, but I haven't mailed in my packet yet.

I believe science courses taken within the last 5 years are the only ones that will count. However, you should double check with the nursing dept

I will be working on completing the application this weekend. I called yesterday to see if it was available to apply yet and they said it wouldn't be online till next week. After reading your post, I see that it is now posted. I will be glad when it is all complete and I know for sure I have been accepted. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Does anyone know when they start calling for interviews? Is it the end of February or March?

It will probably be the beginning of March before they contact people for interviews. I've read previous blogs and that was when they started getting the interviews. I know they like to have their decisions completed before early registration for next fall, which is usually the first week of April. I've heard that people who don't get an interview get a letter before they start contacting people for interviews. And, the people who do get the interview are usually called or emailed.

Well, my interview went great! At least I believe it did. I was told they send out decision letters the week of March 26th. So, I am praying for all of us!!!
