Chattahoochee Technical College Spring 2013

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

I was just wanting to see how my fellow students are doing with applying and having to wait till October to find out if we got accepted into the program starting Spring 2013.

How did everyone do on their TEAS?

Any questions or concerns?

Mine were transferred in from Baker College in Michigan... and they had no problem transferring them in... maybe the semester switch will help with the transfer! I always have found Marietta campus to be the most helpful, just an FYI.

Yes, I love everything about nursing. My best friend is a RN and she does all of the care planning at her job, so she was very informative about this course. I work in a Rehab Center and we learn the different types of diets when we are passing out trays and recording the percentage of what the patients eat. We also have to know what supplements certain patients are required to take, so working as a cna will give me a little advantage because a lot of things will be familiar to me. Also, I don't know if you all ever go on youtube and watch the videos from current Nursing Students, but I love to. They give you so much information to help with the things they wished someone had told them! If you get a chance, check out NurseNacole, Nurse Brown Skin, and my favorite: Nurse Stephen, he has a really great story. They will give you motivation and help you through your journey. I may not be able to be with you all through the program, but we can always keep in contact!

Thanks Callie, I will wait until after the beginning of the semester and check on those classes with someone else. I went to advisement and asked her about the classes, I will contact Admissions this time.

So this class we are about to take used to be in the program curriculum? Wow, I had no idea. So we are actually going to learn how to properly feed our patients... I am really excited about this now! Now I see why people are saying can jump up and bite you in the butt. Yay! I need a good challenge to take my mind off the next 2 months waiting for this letter.

Lisa- you are still planning on continuing if you get the acceptance letter right? Despite the financial issues? I hope so!

Yes I am!

Erica, I love all this info. I will definitely check out those videos. Thanks!

Yes I am!

Good! =) Only 78 days till November 1st... meaning we will have our letters by then! Haha...

Yup, I've been keeping count.

I've been following all your posts and just wanted to say GOOD LUCK to all of you! You sound like a fun group of motivated students and look forward to seeing your posts about acceptance. I took the TEAS V last week and made an 82..my math score brought me down. I ran out of time and couldn't get to 6 questions, so now I know to really move during the math section. I bought the online pre-tests and thought they were very similar to the actual test, and gives you an opportunity to see how the test is done. I know money is an issue for a lot of us, but wanted you to know that I thought it was worth it. Good luck to all of you!

Thanks adntobe. That math will get you! It's my vice also but only when testing. Oh well. Best wishes to you as well!

We really need to find more friends!

I know there has GOT to be more people than this applying! lol. Better if not though, guaranteed seats! haha!

Sorry, boredom has gotten the best of me!
