Yes, I applied to CTC's ADN program but didn't make the cut for TEAS as they cut off at 84.4 if I remember correctly. However, this coming year they will be going by an entirely different admissions process. A much better one in my opinion. I thought about waiting as well but since they are only taking apps in the Fall of next year I didn't want to wait that long on the "chance" I may be accepted and would rather get started sooner than later. The time difference wouldn't be much different.

Yep Erica, I would say you've got the medical bug buzzing around in that family. Tell your brother he better stick with it! You'll have to shoot me a pm and tell me where he works. It would be a small world if we worked for the same company.

Dje5418 I also applied to Ga Highlands over the summer but was rejected there as well. I was told they had almost 500 applications that go around. Whew!

Thank you for the information. I was wondering how many applications GH got for their program.

What are you taking for Fall and where? I'm taking Survey of Chem I in Marietta because I finished everything else and if I ever bridge to a BSRN I'll have to have it.

Hi Ladies,

Glad to see a few of you on here. Just finished Nutrition and Med Term this summer...both were very easy. Applied for Spring 2013 LPN also. I took Cawley for AP2 in Canton last Spring it was an easy A.

Made 79.3 on the teas and have been nervous about my application... Nov. 1 seems so far away!

Has anyone applied to any other school except CTC and has anyone been turned down for the RN program at CTC? What was the lowest accepted score for the RN program if anyone knows. I was thinking about retaking my teas and shooting for the RN rather than doing a bridge later. Any thoughts??

Welcome Dje!!!! Who did you take for Diet and Nutrition? Don't be nervous, what is your GPA? I was thinking about doing the same thing, but time is running thin for me, lol!

I'm a CPht (certified pharmacy tech). It's a fun, fast paced job and interesting to say the least. I have really enjoyed learning medicines, their purpose, and generics, equivalents, etc. There are SO MANY even I have so much still to learn.I printed out the syllabus, chapter 1 notes she has already outlined for us along with the first homework assignment and corresponding paperwork. Lol Although I looked through chapter 1 I still haven't read anything out of the book yet. Had an eventful day so tomorrow it is. If Callie hadn't of told me I wouldn't have even known class was up and running in ANGEL. Have you checked it out yet? Lots of info.

Wow Lisa, I went on ANGEL, very informative syllabus, etc.....seems like more of an online class than anything. Oh well, I am ready....I wish I was taking Pharmacology with you, lol, you should do extremely well in that class, keep me posted when you get in that class!

That is a decent GPA. I wouldn't worry about it, Oh... I can't wait to hear about everyone's acceptance letters!

Am I the only nerd or has anyone else read and outlined chapter 1?

:) well... I started making my flash cards! I've read up to chapter 2. Did you go on angel yet? She has all the class stuff posted already!! Seems like this is going to be an awesome class!

Erica- I wish you were applying for our program! We would all make a great team! Maybe we should petition to give her an extra seat! Lol! You have all kinds of sources up your sleeve!

Hey! You were in my a&e class then! Dr Cawley was an easy A! He was a great teacher!!

The lowest score for RN is 65%. But you will probably want to be in the 80s or 90s because that program is extremely competitive! My thoughts? You should apply to both if you'd like to see if you get in. My plan if I don't get I to LPN this semester is to take micro and retake teas an apply next year to ADN and LPN again.

But i don't think anyone here has applied for ADN. There is a forum on allnurses for chart tech ADN fall 2013. Just search it. I've looked at before. They will know more I'm sure!

What is your Gpa for the LPN program, if you don't mind me asking?

I stand corrected! Guess I should have kept reading lol!

That's a good GPA! Minimum is 3.25 and you are way above that!!
