yay! Congrats ummnasim on your great score!!

Thank you! Come on September:) I have too much time on my hands as you can see.

Another note: I would also like to know about the hours and days for clinicals. I was confused if it was every weekend or every other weekend. I know on the class schedule they have it listed from 7:00-3:00pm.

Hello, this is my first time using this site. I just have some question about the the acceptance at Brenau nursing program. At this point I have applied for the part time program, but my stats are as follows GPA 2.91, Kaplan 70 and have taken 56 credits at Brenau. I didn't know if has any ideas of how these stats stand for getting in. I am so nervous and really hope I get in. Thanks for your guys help :( I am so stress out.

I am not for sure but I believe I had heard that clinicals were not ever weekend for the part time program.

Hi jharris3,

What are you saying about clinicals? From my understanding, they are every other weekend.

With the number of hours you have taken at Brenau and the Kaplan score, you might have a agood chance. I was reading the program plan Friday and it say 2.5 gpa for A&P1 & 2 Chemistry and Eng2 and then 2.5 GPA overall. Also a minimum of 60 for Kaplan. But it did say that most that have been accepted had at least 3.0. Hope this helps. If you take 12 or more hours at Brenau, you get priority over those who don't taken any at Brenau.

I applied to the full time nursing program in the fall.....waiting to hear back....I would be starting my pre-reqs

Hey everyone, as we are quickly approaching Fall semester and HOPEFULLY finding out VERY soon that we have all been accepted... I was wondering what classes everyone is taking?? Maybe some of us will have classes together.. I am taking 3 online classes and then A&P II on campus on Mon and Wed nights...

Hey kbraswell! I am so ready to find out about if I am going to be in! I finished all my prereqs in the Spring, so now I am just taking it easy as much as I can since I still work fulltime. I don't know if you know, but they have changed the program. I plan on going up to the campus on Tuesday to tour the school and hopefully, I can ask someone how the new program plan is going to affect us. I think we may to take an abnormal psychology class but don't quote me on that. I am real anxious but I have to put all my faith in God that whatever happens is happening for a reason! Good luck with your classes.

Awesome ummnasim, glad you are getting a break. I have been a student at Brenau for a year now and everyone is mentioning the new changes. A bunch of people freaked out when they heard that there was 4 new prereq's added to the program but that does not apply to us. We are the last ones "grandfathered in". It applies to the Full time 2014 program though. Also from what I hear, they want ALL prereq's (including all the liberal education stuff, if you do not already have some kind of degree) completed before you start the program. So I had to add 2 elective classes to my fall schedule (A&P II was my only nursing prereq left) to put me back into a good status for my application. If I would not have added them I would not been admitted regardless of my GPA and kaplan score...

It’s scary because I feel like I am competitive but only time will tell....which really stinks right now :) but I 100% agree with you, my faith is in God and what happens, happens for a reason!

I have a previous bachelor's degree so I didn't have to worry about the liberal education, thank God! Have you heard anything else about the program? Don't worry, you will be fine. I am a little worry since I took my three prereqs at my community college so I don't have any hours at Brenau. I was trying to see if I could take Med Term in the Fall but my admission advisor said it might mess up my financial aid that I will need for the program.

Ok, ladies, this is it! August 1st is here! The deadline for PT RN application is finally over! I wish you all best of luck and I pray so we all get in! :) Let's keep in touch with any updates and hopefully we don't have to wait too long for the decision letters! :) Take care!
