Bauder College Pleasant Surprise

U.S.A. Georgia

So I had a VERY NEGATIVE initial contact with this college. Through just ONE conversation it's apparent that this school is a for-profit. After calling the school I was transferred to their Atlanta campus...The guy answered the phone "are you coming to a information session" which COMPLETELY through me off....no hello, thank you for calling Atlanta...blah blah etc.. it was INFO session info session. He continued to cut me off, avoid all questions. and even got SNAPPY with me. Their customer service is absolutely a turn off and I don't believe this school will be a top choice for me. smh some people do not need to be in customer service... I could NOT believe this guy. Take a PTO day if you don't want to work.

Hmmm. That's rather unsettling knowing that their contracts may not be air tight with the clinical sites. What did your neighbors class do? Are they able to go back or go to another clinical site? I hope everything is O.K. I talked with one of the advisors yesterday and they have finalized the list for FEB/ADN, and should be mailing out the letters this week. I hope that doesn't change cuz I can't wait any longer!!!!!!!

I'm in this class and honestly it's very upsetting. With one of the clinical sites it truly wasn't their fault, it was the fact that the hospital got bought out so they have to submit new paperwork. :/ with the other one somehow a bunch of paperwork got lost. We are still doing clinicals and next semester will be better but it's still annoying. However I still do think its a good program if, and only if, you can be flexible. Because they change the schedules, even in the middle of the semester and you have to roll with it.

First badge of RN took their Nclx yet?

Yes. 2 have tested both have passed.

Ohh that's great ! How many students graduate ?

For the people that a good bit of college credits under their belt or have a degree already, were you required to take the "College Success" course?

Nop :)

So i have been calling around to hospitals trying to find out who will accept bauder students without the nursing accreditation and i talked to Piedmont new grad program and they will accept you as long as you have your license. I explained.the.situation and she said it wouldnt be an issue . Hope this helps someone :)

Her class just went back to the school the day they would've had clinical and just worked on stuff at the school. She was told that things will be worked out soon and they just have to resubmit the contract. I also had to go to the school today to finish up some final financial aid stuff, and they were going through the list of people that I guess they are considering. Do you have any pre reqs done already?

Ok that is great. I noticed on the Georgia Board of Nursing that Bauder is not the only school not accredited yet, because Chattahoochee nursing program isn't yet either. So I just hope a lot of places take that into consideration. Are you attending Bauder now? Or have you applied?

I applied just hoping I get in. . and just making sure I will be able to use the investment afterwards you know? I wonder when they will tell us
