by meg816 Apr 27, '11Hey all, I'm hoping to move to Atlanta next summer and am wondering about pay. I will be moving to Decatur and my preference would be Emory or Dekalb Medical for convenience but my dream since nursing school is Grady for the experience. Im currently in Alaska and will have 2 years experience in labor&delivery and post partum when I plan to move. I would really love to get in an ICU as i have plans to go to anesthesia school. I would take a med-surg job short term to get there as my experience is specialized in labor/delivery. What are the chances of me getting a job easily, night shift for sure, and what is the expected pay? Thanks ahead of time for your replies.Last edit by meg816 on Apr 27, '11

- Aug 28, '12 by sokoutureI started out at 24.24 as a new grad at Dekalb Medical Center 2 years ago. I received about 80 cents more because I was a nurse extern there. If you want to go to the ICU, I would suggest Grady.
