I'm in the middle. It's a huge bummer.

Don't lose hope. :-) I'm crossing my fingers to a lot of movement this year.

The first time I applied to North Georgia's nursing program I got a 73 on my TEAS and had a 3.7 GPA, but I had only completed 13 hours (I was a freshman). I was told to get as many science core as I could and get my TEAS to an 80 at least. I completed 51 hours, finished all my core except A&P 2 and Micro, which I am currently taking and I got an 81 on my TEAS and have a 3.9 GPA. I got accepted to the Dahlonega campus just a few days ago. When I met with my advisor she said an 80 on the TEAS and being wait-listed is almost a guarantee for the following cycle, depending on your grades. Don't give up!

I don't even know where to go from here. I'm in the middle portion. My GPA isn't fantastic and that's what is holding me back. I got a 78 on my teas but I see people who were wait listed last year, in the middle portion and didn't get in. I am completely done with my core classes. I don't know what to do. When does the second batch of letters go out? May? By then, I'll already have registered for classes that I don't need. And my advisor, when I talked to her last semester, built me up that I was good to go and to "look for good news" and now this. They shouldn't be allowed to say things like that.

I have a feeling that this year isn't as competitive as last year.

With today being the deadline to confirm acceptance, I'm hoping for more letters in March, at least. :-) do you think we could ask if they plan to?

The second batch of letters usually go out around May & then in July.

You have taken all courses for the ASN or BSN? Bc u can continue to take courses for the BSN to bring your GPA up or you can retake classes that you received C's in.

I'm sorry that your advisor told you that but there is still hope. Don't lose it just yet jessleigh91!!

I agree, and retaking C classes is one of the fastest way to get a GPA up, including taking easy A classes, like PreNursing Strategies and PHED 1000 Wellness. ;-)

Hmmm. That would be a reasonable question to ask! Whether the tell us or not is the dilemma! Lol

True that! :-) Really, I don't want to pass my stresses onto them by bothering them any further. I'll be doing that during advisement! ;-)
