AllieCares, kuhelski, and samme. Dont be sad if you're on the waiting list!!! Mind you, they DO pluck from the waiting list. One of my friends said she was #2 on the waiting list last year & didnt make it. But I called ***** & told her what my friend said and she said that that was a bold face lie. She said that she has DEFINATELY always went deeper than #2. Maybe 20 people are gonna get sick (God forbid), not have the finances, have emergency situations that prevent them from starting, or chose to go to another school; then we ALL make it in! You never know...lol. (wishful thinking). My mom said that there may be a reason why they make the waiting list so long, maybe because they know & expect a lot of accepted people to not be able to begin. Just some motivation for you guys. ;)

AllieCares, if you wanna really go to GSU, APPLY AGAIN! Study your butt off for the TEAS and get a 90+. Also, sign up for any classes that you got less than a B in (or even any B's) to make your GPA higher. You know once you register for a class it erases it off your program GPA and your GPA skyrockets even before you're done with the class (im sure you've seen it on your academic eval). That way when you apply in the Spring, your GPA will be higher and your TEAS score will great. You'll be a definate acceptance. Same goes for all of you!!!

I tried to think of EVERY possible career that I could possibly change to and you know what I came up with? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. There's nothing else im interested in doing for the rest of my life than healthcare. If that's how you feel, DO NOT GIVE UP. But If you feel there may be something else out there for you, PRAY and ask God to show you the direction you should take. If you still feel that its nursing, get off your tush and re-apply! If you work hard and do what you have to do, He will do the same. Keep hope alive guys. Just because you dont get something WHEN you want it, doesnt mean you'll never get it; it just means now is not the time. In the mean time, Im gonna call the nursing office at the end of every week to see if I moved up. I'll keep you guys posted. :kiss

Svictor1, thank you soooo much for that inspiration and that registration tip!!! I'm

going to do that. My program gpa was the culprit. I think my TEAS was cool, it was 90. I won't be able to take it again until Sept 2012 anyway. I'm still going to apply to my Plan B school & GSU for Fall entry just in case.

Where were you on the wait list? I'm 10 on ACE and 12 on TRAD. Like you, healthcare is where I want to be. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm in my mid- 30's with a family. I don't have lot of time to be waiting around. I would love to be done with college before my oldest goes off to school. Thanks for the words of encouragement though.

completely off the subject- did anyone else have any problems with the TEAS test? There were lots of questions that was not covered in the study guide especially in the science section. anyone have any other study material besides the one from ATI? I scored 87. The idea of trying to get a higher score almost seem impossible.

Ok, so I talked to one of the nursing dept advisors and she told me that if I don't get off of the waiting list, I should retake two classes to boost my program GPA. She told me that I was almost right where I needed to be, to be in the program. The two classes that I need to retake are classes that I took about 13 yrs ago when I was having waaaaay more fun than the law and any school should've allowed... ;-) I could kick myself because it's Speech & Psychology!!! I think back at how careless and carefree I was back then... Never would I have imagined that those classes would come back to haunt me in such a way! So, I bit the bullet and registered to take them this Spring.

Don't feel bad, I'm retaking writing 1102. Did you take nut 3300? it will replace nutr 3200 needed for nursing

I tried registering for Nutr but it's closed. My gpa was a 3.4. So, if I retake those courses I can pull out A's. I was just in another place at that time. I was more concerned with what was going on after class, than anything! Now, I'm in my mid-thirties like you Kuhelski and just want to get it done.

Now my GPA went up to 3.52 once I registered to retake those classes... I wish that I had known that a few months ago. I would've retaken those this semester. I didn't even know that those classes factored into the equation. You live and you definitely learn!

Which study guide are you using? I used the ATI study guide. Which part do you need help with the most?

Hi! Congrats to everyone who got in!

I'm #2 on the waiting list and was told not to get my hopes up:(. It's so frustrating, but I'm trying to stay positive!

Can someone who got in tell us how many people have logged on for the PINS? That might give us a better idea of how many people accepted their positions. I think today was the deadline for accepting?

Hello everyone,

I am torn as to which school to attend csu or gsu. I feel really bad holding these acceptace letters which is holding up someone else's dreams. I just dont know what to do. I am leaning towards Clayton only because I will finish sooner than GSU, and I already attend CSU. CSU has a 93% first time pass rate on the nclex. Can anyone help me decide. PLEASE!!
