Admission/Acceptance to Georgia Regents/Georgia Health Sciences

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hello! I just joined and couldn't find any other thread that had anything about admission stats or anything for Georgia Regents (formerly Georgia Health Sciences) and I am so nervous about getting into the BSN program, I applied with my first choice in Athens, and second as Augusta.. I have a 3.7 and got an 86 on the TEAS V and was wondering if anyone knew if that was competitive or what your stats were?!

HELLPPPPPPP :nailbiting:

tried to share a link but didn't work. will add it later.

Ok great! Did you get my private message?

They offer the class at GRU also. That is where I took it at. I work here so I am not sure if you have to be an employee. Mine is going to expire next march so I am debating whether or not to take it again so I don't have to worry about that while I am in school.

Yea I was just wondering if they would offer it in Athens... maybe a I will call when I return from vacation in mid-April

I was offered a spot at the Augusta campus for Fall 2013. I'm currently debating on whether or not to accept this opportunity. I want nothing more than to graduate with my BSN from GRU but I moved to Athens less than a year ago to be with my friends, boyfriend and family. I don't know anyone in Augusta and I have not heard good things about the town itself. Do any of you guys have some sort of advice? Anything is appreciated as I'm kind of going crazy over here!!

Congrats on getting accepted! I most definitely would take it! I understand you have your life in Athens, but it is only 2 years. If you do not have any kids I think you should go for it! It is not a far drive to Athens so you could go back home on the weekends.

Some people hate Augusta and others love it. It really depends on what you are looking for in a town. I have lived here my whole life. I see the why people hate it and also why they love it.

Can you tell me where you found it on the website... I am having trouble locating it!

Hope that helps :-)

You don't have to be an employee to take the AHA BLS class at GRU. It's free for employees, but varies between $50 and $55 for the public, depending on when you take it. Augusta Tech also offers the class.

They do offer Saturday classes so you may want to look into that for next year (maybe during spring break or something), so it doesn't feel like you're wasting your money by getting recertified too early.

This is the link I found for the BLS class. It would be great if we could get a group together!

American Heart Association Training Center-BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, CPR First Aid

I think that this is done completely online. So if we got a group together than we really wouldn't be able to meet everyone (if that is what you were going for).

I'm sorry. I see now where you can register for all of the classes from that site.

Did anyone get any good mail today???
