Hey all,My name is Melissa and I'm very pleased to announce I was just accepted to West Georgia Tech's RN program starting January 2013(Lagrange campus). I was just wondering who else has been accepted! I was 90% sure I wasn't getting in, the that letter came! I have never been so thankful, excited, and nervous before! So for fall semester 2012 I will be taking all of my non-nursing classes to get them out of the way. I'm taking microbiology and lab, human growth and development psych, and American literature. I'm nervous about taking all of these but if I can buckle down for this semester and really focus it will be better for me when I start those nursing classes we've all heard horror stories about!! Did I mention I have a one and a half year old? Lord, help me!Sorry for the long post! Looking forward to "meeting" others who got in!

    Hey! Congrats!

It's pretty much one class per semester but the classes are mostly 8 credits each. Here is the layout.

Are you done with all of your non-nursing classes?

Have you taken Psych 2103 Human Growth and Development? I was planning on taking it this Fall to get it out of the way but now they're saying financial aid won't pay for that until you are actually in the RN program. And it will cost me $436 out of pocket if I want to pay for it!!

HI CONGRATS!!!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!! ") ") ")

I was looking at West Ga Tech nursing program but not sure what all I need to do to get in. Just wanted to know what all did you have to do. I saw something about a NLN test. What what kind of scores are they looking for when you take the NLN test, what classes are they looking at, and what was your overall score for you to get in the Nursing program.

Thank you! Well as for getting in at wgtc they are changing lots I stuff now. Now they are going to the TEAS exam. I took it for another school I applied to and it's much harder than the NLN so I'm not sure what scores will be accepted since its harder and it's their first cohort using it. Also they are now making applicants get their CNA certification first. Then you will need to take your general education core classes and the classes they look at for competitive selection which are: algebra 1111, psych 1101, A&P 1&2, & English 1101. Good luck.

Hi, my name is Lauren. I was also accepted into the RN program beginning spring 2013 on the LaGrange campus. I was very nervous about getting my letter since I had applied and been turned down before. I prayed all the way to the mailbox each day I checked the mail. It finally arrived and I was excited because it was thicker than the envelopes I had recieved before. I stood in my driveway and opened the letter. Thank god, it was good news. I looked around to make sure the neighbors were not outside and shouted "woohoo". I didn't want anyone to think I was crazy. Congratulations on your acceptance! Good luck with getting all this healthcare stuff done!

Haha I'm not the only "driveway screamer" then? I just paid for my background check and drug screen today, and have an appointment scheduled for a physical. Are you taking any classes this fall?

Hi and CONGRATS to all!!!!! I will be applying for the RN program at WGTC for the fall of 2013. I'm sooooo nervous and just want to know what scores you all received. Of course I'm doing my best, but want to know what I will realistically need to get in. Thanks!
