Kennesaw State Waiting Game

Hi, I received a interview letter today too!! I was SO excited but now im worried. It seems like alot of people got one...I don't know what to think? I am SO nervous about the interview. I have been trying to get into this program since 2002!!! I literally cried when I opened it. I really expected another rejection letter. But atleast I even got an interview. Does anyone know what to expect? has anyone already had one? I know a couple of people who had to interview 3 times b4 they got in... Congrats to everyone who got a letter...there are more coming everyone!!

THANKS!!! I know you will be getting yours for summer...your grades are WAY better than mine. I think Fran felt sorry for me...10yrs of trying! Its crazy b/c I opened the letter in the car, and actually laughed outloud b/c I expected "Dear nursing applicant, we have regretfully filled all of the nursing slots..blah..blah" But to my dismay a CONGRATULATIONS was printed. I freaked out, and I think I scared Ally..haha..but then she got excited. (You know how 2 yr olds are) but I am really afraid, b/c now my hopes are up. ..... Oh, and Im not tryin to scare anyone, I just have really been tryin to get into KSU forever...

Good luck guys!! It does seem like a lot of people got interviews. I would love to know how many are going to be interviewed and how many they are going to accept from that group.

I got my letter for Spring '10 Accelerated Interview today! Congrats to all! Does anybody know if the interviews are group interviews or one-on-one with the interviewers?

If anyone asks the adviser I would love to know the answer to that. I didn't apply for spring but I am curious.

Ok, I have obsessed over how many got interviews versus how many will get in. Here's my take on it; from what I can tell they do 4 interviews an hour over the 4 days, say they go for about 8 hours, that means that they will get to interview around 128 people (4 interviews X 8 hrs=32X4days=128people) From what I have been told overall KSU accepts around 70 to the program every year (not sure how reliable this is though, and if they were refering to the traditional program only or all of them, so assume only traditional), so divide this by 3 and you get 23. So maybe they take 20-25 into the program out of maybe 128 invited to interview. However, the 128 interviewing are for all programs and I think the original 70# is for just the traditional program, so don't let this be too discouraging. Hope my little over-obsession helps some of you.

Those numbers are not correct. They take around 340 a year.

Thats awesome that you tried to calculate that but I read on the nursing website last night that they take about 70 for the spring semester. so if there are 128 people interviewing then 60-70 will get accepted in the spring. Overall ksu takes about 260 people a year. but thats out of like 1700 applicants. I wasn't going to do the numbers b/c its discouraging, but I did see it last night. Hope this helps and if its wrong feel free to tell me, I too am obsessed!
