GSU Spring 2010

I submitted my application for Georgia State University's nursing school last week. I thought I would start a new thread for everyone that is applying for the spring. I know that I will be checking my mail box religiously over the next few weeks!

Hi,
I will be applying for the fall 2010 program. Are you all applying to the traditional or Accelerated program? I will definitely be keeping in touch with you guys on this post. I wish you all the very best.

Good luck!

Hi BelleFemme! I am hoping to do the Accelerated Program. However, I went ahead and applied for both programs, just in case. I've been told that they will most likely offer you admission to the Accelerated Program first if you apply for both. Then, you have the option to request to be moved to the Traditional Program if there is still space available. This is my second degree, so I am hoping to start my new career as soon as possible. Are you taking your pre-reqs at GSU now? I'm finishing up Micro lab and Chem II this semester. I hope they start sending out letters soon!

Hi Mixolydian, I was accepted this fall at GSU as an undergrad but I'll register for spring classes. I'll be taking Microbiology, PERS 2001, NURS 2010 and HHS 3000 and I'll be sending my fall application early Jan once I finish my essay. I hope that I get accepted into the Accelerated program. Hope you get your letter soon.

Hi,
I applied for Fall 2009 GSU Nursing and I took the net exam just a few weeks before the deadline.I did not meet the composite score requirement and I could not retake it before the deadline had passed for a few days only for that reason, I withdrew my application before any decision was made on my case. My application was almost completed then if not for the Nurs2010 and HHS3000 classes which I am currently taking.I deferred my application to Spring2010 after I withdrew. It has been complete since that time except for these two classes. I took the net score again in March after the Fall2009 deadline and I had 97 math and 70 English and a composite score of 84%. I am sure the anxiety is building up for everyone else who applied for spring2010 but just so you guys know, I have not received any acceptance mail yet and I am praying we all do. Good luck to you all and please if anyone should be accepted don't forget to come back and spread the word. The truth is that, not only will it hurt that I wouldn't have received an acceptance letter but it will also help speed up the recovery and acceptance of the fact before I receive the monster in the mail.

Best wishes to all of you applying to GSU's nursing program. I just graduated in August and passed NCLEX 2 weeks ago. It is a GREAT program.
