Hey sscholf
I see your hard work paid off because your record is outstanding. Well although I have not given up on hope yet, I am glad the mystery has been solved. At least we now know that letters are being sent out somehow.Congratulations, your record deserved that acknoledgement!!!

Here's some info to bury yourself in for the next day or so

Here is the GSU Nursing School policies and procedures handbook http://chhs.gsu.edu/nursing/docs/handbook.pdf

and the list of text books (I have started scoping prices on amazon and half.com) http://chhs.gsu.edu/nursing/docs/textbooks.pdf

The first semester schedule is exactly what was posted by Jennieb30 (http://allnurses.com/georgia-nurses/...ed-427340.html), except clinicals are from 7am-1pm instead of 8am-2pm.

Information on uniforms:

"The designated uniform must be obtained from www.meridys.com and must meet the following guidelines:
Top: Meridy’s navy blue scrub top with red sleeve trim, v-neck and two front pockets.
Pants: Meridy’s white scrub pants with a straight, non-cuffed leg. Pants may be drawstring, but drawstring should not interfere with safe patient care. Pants must not be see-through. Pants may have cargo pockets.
Lab Coat: White lab coat with length of student’s choosing but no shorter than hip length and no longer than knee length. Sleeve length can be three quarters to full. White scrub jackets may be worn."

I'm starting my quest for shoes this week. I'll let you all know what I find!
Thanks for the information. It was really helpful.
Good Luck.

I just received my acceptance letter for the traditional track at GSU starting Spring 2010. I also took the Regent test this semester, but I'm not sure about the results yet. Does anybody know or have experience that if for some reason I do not pass the test, will this affect my admission? I appreciate your feedback.

Congrats Atlanta203,
I believe you have a very interesting case. One thing I know for sure is that I had a friend who forgot to take the regent test past a certain amount of credit hours at which point they made him take some regent classes during which time he could not register for any other classes because of it. This was in Georgia Perimeter College and I am not exactly sure what Ga State policy is regarding the regents but I am pretty sure they are very much standard across the board. And the regent test is a state requirement, so schools don,t always play with it. It will be wise if you talk to .... who is an undergraduate advisor at the Health and Human Sciences building on the 8th floor.I believe she has walk-ins on Wednesday before 2pm or you can make an appointment.I am pretty sure she is well placed to address your worry. Could you tell us what was you net score and gpa was and did you choose the traditional?

I wanted to let all of you know that I got my letter on Friday. I was out of town and couldn't check my mailbox until this morning. I was accepted into the accelerated program! Good luck to everyone! I hope all of you receive your letter soon!
