Re: GSU Spring 2010
What's working for me to keep pressure off right now is just keeping myself really busy. I'm taking 6 classes, volunteer at the hospital on Fridays, work on Saturdays and spend Sunday prepping for the next week of classes. Also telling myself that today probably isn't the day the letter comes has helped a lot.
Here's some info to bury yourself in for the next day or so
Here is the GSU Nursing School policies and procedures handbook
http://chhs.gsu.edu/nursing/docs/handbook.pdf
and the list of text books (I have started scoping prices on amazon and half.com)
http://chhs.gsu.edu/nursing/docs/textbooks.pdf
The first semester schedule is exactly what was posted by Jennieb30 (
http://allnurses.com/georgia-nurses/...ed-427340.html), except clinicals are from 7am-1pm instead of 8am-2pm.
Information on uniforms:
"The designated uniform must be obtained from
www.meridys.com and must meet the following guidelines:
Top: Meridy’s navy blue scrub top with red sleeve trim, v-neck and two front pockets.
Pants: Meridy’s white scrub pants with a straight, non-cuffed leg. Pants may be drawstring, but drawstring should not interfere with safe patient care. Pants must not be see-through. Pants may have cargo pockets.
Lab Coat: White lab coat with length of student’s choosing but no shorter than hip length and no longer than knee length. Sleeve length can be three quarters to full. White scrub jackets may be worn."
I'm starting my quest for shoes this week. I'll let you all know what I find!
