Hello,
Just wondering if their are any current students or graduates from the Darton College Nursing Program in Albany, Georgia. I would like to hear of your experiences or any advice you would like to give in regards to the program.

I graduated from Darton almost 3 weeks ago and am waiting to take my boards. I though Darton was a fabulous school with EXCELLENT instructors. I would recommend Darton to anyone. Of course, there are pros and cons, but all in all...Darton is a great school. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions...

I have also applied for Darton's Fall nursing program. Does anyone know when we will be able to access our HESI scores online?

They accept a lot of people into the program then work very hard to weed you out once you are in and they have collected your money upfront (which by the way is not refundable even if you havent attended any classes and cant even carry the money forward for another semester.

They do accept a decent number into the program in the beginning, but I wouldnt necessarily say "weed" out. Those who work hard...pass. And as with any college, if you do not pass a course you have paid for, then you must take it again, and pay again.

I don't think they try to "weed" people out, so to speak. I think it's more the fact that it takes strong people to be good nurses. The instructors are kittens compared to some of the patients or physicians that you may have to deal with. The instructors are there to teach you how to think for yourself. My advice to any new or upcoming student....use the materials provided to you!! The instructors give you objectives and study guides for a reason. They aren't going to tell you exactly what is on the test, but they will tell you where you can find it. I went into the program with my mind made up that they couldn't drag me out even if they wanted to!! It's been working for me, because I graduate this semester.

Hi,

I am currently attending a community college in Baltimore, but I am thinking of applying to Darton College for the May 2010 semester. I have completed A and P 1, with a B, and I am currently enrolled in A and P 11 and Micro. I have most of my pre-reqs (clep), do I have a shot at been admitted?

Is Albany a nice/safe place to leave and are there other nusing programs I can apply to?

How many students on average do they admit each semester?

Thank you
