I live in Ga and have been looking into becoming a CNA while in nursing school. Just to clarify CNAs in Ga do NOT make $15-20 an hour. In North Ga it is around $8-10 starting. Even close to Atlanta I have never head of a CNA making more than $15. Good luck. I am looking at local nursing homes. It is much cheaper than Red Cross.

There is an EXCELLENT school located just west of Marietta on Dallas Hwy. The name of the school is "CPR with Mickey". The full time classes take about 3 weeks to complete...85 hours as required by the state, including 24 hours of clinical. We were VERY well prepared to get out there and start working. Plus, it is much less expensive than the tech schools. They also offer part time classes, which take a little longer as the 85 required state hours are more spread out but it is still faster than going to a tech school/college. Good luck!!!

I am also looking for a CNA program around the Atlanta or upper Metro area and the only ones I seem to find are one or two in Duluth! GPC does not offer one, either, that I can see! Does anyone know of any information for any closer CNA training programs, whether they be at a nursing home or school?
