I know some schools won't allow it.

I did part time through my ADN.
But one girl in my class worked Full time and had 4 kids at home too... I would say she's extraordinary tho. I couldn't have done that.

Many people work full time or even part time. I watched several of my cohort work and succeed, saw one drop out because they had to work and couldn't make it, and had another quit her job and move back in with her parents to finish. Most of them were younger (under 25), but a couple were more "adultier". Honestly it's all going to depend on what you are capable of.

I work full time. I am lucky in that I can study somewhat at work, but also my schedule runs 7am -7:30pm on my work days, so going in for extra help or study group can become tricky. Plus I have a wife and son, so time management is a necessity.

I just finished my first year of an ADN program while working on-call. I managed to work 2-4 shifts (16-32 hours) per week. I would typically work fewer shifts the week before a big exam. Just be mindful that your school schedule may change from quarter to quarter (or semester to semester), so make sure your job/employer is flexible and understanding.

No, but I worked 4 shifts a week as an LVN, from 1500-2300 while in my ADN program. I was a single Mom with a 9 year old, a 7 year old, and a 5 year old, so it was doable because...I had no option!
