Hi guys! Okay here's the situation. I'm in my clinical rotation on a med/surg floor, why is it that the nurses there threat us students (who are helping them out with their pt loads)like we are in... Read More

    Oy Vey,

We have this lovely liquer/cordial (not sure of the European word - like a shnapps or a brandy) made by the Godiva chocolate company - it used to in various mixed drinks. Generally Vodka/Bailey's Cream/Godiva liquer with some liquid chocolate on top in a Martini glass - No olive or onion, needless to say.

    Thanks for the offer though

Um, the bartender can't work 24/7! She does get some freakin time off ya know! Maybe you need to hire a couple of more to share the load of all you freakin lushes! :chuckle

As for the OP, and the other poster that commented (I can't recall exactly who), I don't see how baselines first post was "going off," and she didn't call her toots until she made the assumption that because she wasn't willing to discuss it for the gazillionth time, that she must hate students. You know what they say about people that assume......

Baseline was short and to the point. Ask the people that you have the problem with, and try a search at this BB for this topic in it's previous forms. I did a search using the terms "nurses eat their young," and "some nurses don't like students" and you wouldn't believe the number of threads that popped up.

But the OP didn't bother to do any of those things, and now we're drinking. I feel like jello shots.

And you got an honest and sincere answer that you jumped on. Apparently you don't have any respect for an established community of people.

And the riff-raff comment wasn't directed at you.

    Geleesa,
I think it's just we hate generalizations of people - of RNs, of nurses, etc.
With 22,000+ members, you're going to get a plethora of responses. Some are good, some are bad. Take what you want.
