I know I"m not the only one.

I have one son, who will be two in June, I start in August. I can't believe he'll be almost four when I'm done!

Best of luck to all of you seeking childcare. I will be starting nursing school with a six-year old and I'm so worried about studying time and having time for her.I will have my husband, mother, and grandmother nearby for support... Thank goodness!!....... We have to do what we have to do, huh?

Good luck, you are truly blessed to have that kind of support! Hopefully my husband will be back in December at the beginning of the second semester. I hope I will pass the first semester. I am afraid I'll fail. :uhoh3:

Add me to the list I am half way done and my kids are 2 1/2 and almost 4

I think about that all the time. Failing that is. I am soooooo scared because I keep hearing it's hard. But we have to think positive!!:monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance:

My son is nine and I always got the best studying done while he was in school. Is your little one starting first grade? Taking advantage of that free time will help.

I try to think positive, too. As long as we give it our best. I have already encountered some of my future class mates and wasn't overly impressed....some things never change, not even after acceptance to the program I guess. As long as we work hard and study our butts off we'll be alright. We've come this far and I did the majority without my husband....it would just be so much better if he were around. OK, I promise not to whine any longer :(

LETS ALL KICK BUTT !!

I start my pre-req's this fall with a 4 year old and a 16 month old.:uhoh3:

Hi ya'll! Well I have three little monkeys! :monkeydance: Ashton, my oldest son, is ten, Evie is five and Israel is three. I have been really concerned about how things are going to play out, but reading all of your posts has helped a great deal! I am just praying and knowing that the Lord has brought me this far and I know He will help me see this through! I start my actual clinicals in August and should graduate in 2009 as an RN! YEAH! A week before I start clinicals Ash starts Jr. High and Evie starts elementary, I think that scares me even more :chair: Thankfully, I have a wonderfully supportive husband and mother as well, who are more than willing to help! Good luck to all of you!!

My friend just started her prereq's this summer....she is taking A&P I and II and the labs in the summer (5 weeks a class), and she has two kids, 3 and 5. I am so amazed by what she is able to accomplish while taking care of her family (she is doing very well in the class). I work my butt off and have nothing to distract me and she had distractions left and right and still does so well! I call her on the phone to talk about class and all I hear in the background is "Mommy.....". I am SO amazed and awed by those of you who attempt nursing school (or any school!) with children. You guys all already have so much patience, you will make great nurses!!! :balloons:

Thank you...the exposure to ill. demanding children will definitley help with nursing skills. My son got sick yesterday, puked on the sofa and carpet :uhoh3: He is complaining of a sore throat and we will most likely make a trip to the doctor today. Gotta run to the store and fetch him som Sprite and crackers. Tomorrow I have my Spanish for Healthcare providers class and need to write a patient/nurse scenario in Spanish....it's hard to go to school with children especially if there is no husband and other family around like in my case!

BTW, the backyard grass is getting 10 ft tall, we had so much rain last week. I will need to mow it later, too before it rains again and grows even taller!!!!!!

I start in February and have a daughter who is turning 3 on Nov1st of this year. My husband is in the Navy and gone a lot so this should be interesting. But whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?

I hopefully:heartbeat will be starting the nursing program in January and I have a two little boys, 4 and 8.

Taking my pre-req's and I have two little ones. I am the only parent at home and I am pulling out what little hair I have. You can do it and allnurses can help!!!!

I am a last semester RN student and I have two boys 9.5 and 7.5. I started school (pre-reqs) when they were 1.5 & 3.5. I've managed to make it through and it hasn't been easy but its doable. If I can do it, You can do it!!!
