Who else is starting first semester nursing in January?

  1. I never thought it would get here and now it's only days away! Who else starts in January? I would love to be able to share our experiences as we all get started. I'm excited to get started but scared to death at the same time. From what I've heard I guess that's pretty typical. Well good luck to everyone...Go Class of '06!!

    Oooooh...me, me me!!!

First day of orientation is on the 10th. Classes start on the 18th so it's just around the corner. I still have to pick my books up but they're not available at the bookstore yet so I'm still waiting.

Hope you have a fantastic semester! Let's keep each other posted

Orientation??? You are so lucky. We start classes on the 10th (my 1st actual nursing class is at 8 a.m. the 11th). The only info I've gotten from them about the program is when I got my acceptance letter. If you call, you get the "we'll have info for you the 1st day of class". Program is being partially re-done though so I'm not sure they have all the answers yet.

I have about 1/2 my books, will gather up the rest next week...

Orientation is mandatory for us. We get measured for our uniforms and what not then so there is no option to skip

me too! Classes start on the 10th, but I'm an online student, so I don't really know how that all works yet. I'm just waiting for my books to show up (and praying they get here on time!) Good luck to all of my fellow '06ers!! Hooray!

I start my LPN program officially on January 12th (orientation only)! They are allowing us to come in starting Januaray 3rd (tomorrow!) to work on skills in the lab. Then on the 5th we are having a workshop with students that just graduated from the LPN program. I'm probably going to wait until this coming thursday to work in the lab though because we can't get our books or syllabus until this Wednesday. Im nervous and excited to start!

Good luck to you all, and congrats on getting in! What classes do you have this term?

I start my bridge next week. I am an LPN so I get credit for the first 2 classes. I will be starting Mental Health. We have orientation on the 4th. Which is difficult cause don't have a sitter yet. Then classes start the 10th, and the day care will be open.

Our orientation is the 11th and classes start the 18th. I have most of the books we will use in the first part of the semester, I will wait on the others. No sense in spending all that money right away. I'm nervous and excited at the same time! I can't wait to get started.

I just want to say good luck to all your first quarter students! I was there just last quarter and when you get overwhelmed, sit back, regroup and jump back in.
