Which semester is the toughest?

  1. 0 Hi everyone! I'm starting a BSN program in January and I'm just wondering which semester seemed the toughest?

I am aware the entire process is going to be tough and take dedication and lots of hard work. I'm just wanting to hear which semester seemed the most overwhelming?

    So excited!! Thanks!!

I am pretty sure that user meant, no matter which semester you are in, your current one will always seem like it's the hardest one.

meh, i think medsurge, medsurge 2, and family were my hardest ones. Those were the weedout semesters.

My final semester seems alot calmer, but more annoying since I am just waiting to graduate.

I have heard from several people that the first semester is the hardest, just because you're trying to get into the groove of nursing school and come up with a routine for the large amounts of studying you'll need to do. I am also starting nursing school this January. Good luck!!

The one you're in, because it is always required that you remember everything you learned in past semesters and be able to apply it after integrating everything you're learning this semester.

I think the only somewhat accurate answer you could get from is from people who went through your program. Odds are mine is completely different than yours!

The issue is that not all schools go through the same order and sometimes it's the quality of teachers mixed in. Some teachers are far worse than others that may make an easy subject become the hardest ever. My one friend chose a different rotation pattern than me for our final semester and she has a teacher sent up from the other campus who is horrible. She had barely anyone if no one pass last semester (one girl who graduated from the campus told me about it). We had five people in my class from last semester who drove over an hour to come to class and clinicals to take it with my easy instructor.

She is doing fine, but she is studying her a** off. She has my notes and my instructor's lectures and powerpoints to look at on top of her class stuff.

For me, mine was third semester which a lot of people agree with. However, a third semester here may be different than other schools' third semesters. We had psych and adult health II.
