Now I am doubting my DRG purchase, everyone here is so pro-Littmann!

I wouldn't even be thinking this if it wasn't for the fact that I don't like the way the tubing looks on the DRG.

Also when you hang the scope around your neck, the end with the eartips does not sit flush against your shoulder/upper chest.
I think this is because the tubing isn't round.

Maybe I can take a picture to describe what I mean.

But I think I am stuck with it; it is engraved so I can't return it.

Oh Melissa,
I am thinking that you made a very good purchase....it doesn't matter what everyone else has. I love my Littman....but I have not used a DRG. If you could hear through several layers of clothing, then you must have made a wise choice.

All My Best,
~Angie

I am a believer of Littman as well. I have several. I like the Master cardiology fro hearing heart sounds and for just general use i have my old Master Classic. I recently purchased though the electronic Littman stethescope. Many have decided I'm nuts to spend $400 for a stethoscope, but I love it. When I think I hear something but am not real sure I go get this one out. It will record what I'm hearing and I can take it to someone else and let them hear what I heard. My plan is to use it for heart sound teaching.
The other reason I got this stethoscope though is because I get chronic sinusitus and i can't hear wellwhen my head is all stuffed up. I was in that situation last week and used this new stethoscope and increased the volume and felt like I could hear everything. Wow! Incredible.
But the other Littmans are great to as long as you go for a dual lumen for better hearing and not just the single lumen if you're having hearing problems.

Any trophy shop can engrave a steth for you, and it's cheap insurance. Any expensive steths tend to grow legs and walk away...with no forwarding address.
