What type of drug tests do nursing schools do?

Urine, Blood, or Hair? I'm just curious, as I've had a hair test done before and they cut 2 chunks out!! Not sure how that would look now considering my hair is so short!!

not entirely sure yet but my school says there'll be random drug testings during the program. I haven't been selected yet.

I didn't have any kind of drug test for school, but I'm sure they would do one if someone wasn't acting right at clinicals or something like that. I did have to do a urine test for my new job I got this Fall.

Hair testing is VERY expensive. In this economy, you can be fairly certain you'll be peein' in a cup. :D

ugh, I hate drug tests. I thought I was done with the wiz quiz when I got out of the military. I have never done any drugs and never will, but man peeing in a cup is a pain. Hopefully what ever school and then career I go into sticks with blood tests, or even hair, I would totally shave my head once a year to prove I had not done drugs, I just hate that cup.

We had background tests, but no drug tests. They do have the right and ability to randomly test us at any time though.

At my school, it depends on your clinical site - most of them don't require a drug test at all. One site requires a 6 panel urine screen.

No drug tests. But I hope they never do a hair test -- my friend had one done at her job and they literally cut a big chunk out! She was not a happy camper.
