I agree Mustangsheba...times have changed! I went to nursing school year round. It was expected that we work as nursing assistants too. I worked full time all the way through nursing school and it certainly helped prepare me for the rigors of nursing care as an RN. Even though I lived at the beach, I had few real breaks. It was worth it in the end.

I summited my resume to a local hospital to work as a nursing tech this summer, and throughout the yr. I decided to take my classes online this fall, so I can work. My feeling was the same as you, about loosing my momentum. I feel it will make me more confident starting this fall. Also the college lab is open all summer long so we can practice skills. So all will not be lost. J

I'm actually taking a history class this summer, but it is so easy it feels like a vacation! I feel a bit guilty not having to come home and study for hours every night, not sure why though . I'm about to start doing some refresher lessons in algebra, as I am terrified of the college algebra course I am taking in the fall! It's nice to be able to relax and spend time with my hubby though. Enjoy your summer...fall semester will be here before we know it .

I am also starting a job as a Unit Tech in a hospital this summer; I'm hoping it'll make me more confident in my classes, too.

As of Thursday I am done with school for the summer and do not have to return until Sept 16! Now don't get me wrong I am grateful for the time off and wouldn't have it any other way. But going from reading hundreds of pages of Medical material to reading cosmopolitan in the sun is really a change. I get this feeling that I should be doing something more useful. How about the rest of you summer breakers
