I am curious about this student nurse board, and am wondering what kind of nursing programs everyine is in. I am currently an LPN, and I am now in an LPN to RN transition program. When I finish I will have an Associate's degree in nursing (ADN). What about everyone else? You can tell us what school you're going to and anything else that might be of interest. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi!

I am currently in the clinical part of my LPN. I will graduate in July, then in May I will be taking my ASN, and will graduate from that in June the following year. Maybe I will go on to get my Bachelors... probably will.:)

I go to a state college in Indiana and love every second of being in Nursing School finally!!!!!:)

My program sounds similar to Julie's. Our first four quarters are the LPN portion of the program, and we are qualified to sit for the NCLEX-PN in August, but it is optional. We then directly articulate into the RN portion for the next three quarters.

After I'm all done with that, I'm hoping to go directly into the local RN-BSN program, after which I'm planning to do the CNM program through Frontier.

I will be graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Truman State University on May 18, 2002. Not much longer!

Next semester I will be taking a clinical elective in Emergency Services and Surgey. Afterwhich, I will be moving to Hannibal, Missouri and working in the regional hospital.

I have an interview on October 15th, and I hope to have a contract signed by the end of the month. Woohoo!

I am currently working on my resume, and hope to have it loaded onto my website within the next half hour.

So much to do before graduation!

i'm getting my bacchelor degree in nursing which would make me an rn in canada. what is the equivalent of that in the us or uk? amélie

Amelie,

I believe that would be the equivalent of our BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). A BSN is an RN, but so is an ADN or ASN (Associate's Degree in Nursing).

hi all,

i will be proudly graduating in may 2003 with my asn from a suburban community college. i plan to go for my bsn and possibly cnm or np-ob/gyn to follow! it is interesting to see that many of us are starting with the asn/adn and going on from there. :D

H i My name is lisa and I currently enrolled in the ADN program here in saginaw michigan, you probably have never heard of it , yes it is small I go to a community college. The name of it is Delta I am currently taking pham and Nursing 100 and hope to be in my lst semester in January that I am very scared about doing it, but this is what I have wanted to do my whole life. I am a mother of 4 working partime with school partime. I hope to go on to get my bsn when I take some time to breath. Lisa

I'm attending in Nashville,TN. My program is a bridge MSN program. It's 2 years year-round. I will be eligible to sit for NCLEX in Jan of 2003, graduate with a MSN in August 2003 and work as a nurse practitioner in acute care.

I got my LPN at Ivy Tech in Columbus too! I'm now going to Ivy Tech in Madison for the LPN to RN transition program.
