what does it look like?

  1. 0 what does an intermittent infusion port look like?
    I have tried to find some picture or information on Google - but can't find something to clearly explain, and no pictures yet

    How is it used? Is the IV discontinued so that only the catheter remains, locked, for later use? Is the only difference between the intermittent infusion port and a PICC that the PICC goes to the vena cava?

    I have found some information about the PICC, but the difference or uses of these isn't yet clear.
