In my RN program we were maroon top and bottom and all white shoes! I thought they were ugly at first but they have turned out not so bad...

What's with the programs that require jackets? Are you all in places where it doesn't get cold enough to merit winter coats, or is this something that just happens in one area of the country regardless of climate?

I am in CO where winter coats are a must lol, we have jackets we can order for IN the facility. We can't wear unapproved coats inside the building, right now I am in LTC so I have no need for the long sleeve white shirt under or the approved long sleeve "coat" but if your in a clinical setting where it tends to get chilly it will probably be good to have I would imagine.

We have ceil blue tops with the logo sewn on and navy blue pants. I've had the same top for all 3 years but I've had to get 3 different sets of pants because they fade.

We can have a navy jacket but I just prefer to wear a navy tee under my scrub top. Shoes have to be all black or all white with matching socks, hair back, and no jewelry (except wedding rings).
But I'm starting my preceptorship this week and I think they will be a lot less strict since we are one on one with a nurse and not around our instructors. Plus I am doing night shifts.

Our program is the same, for our last six months we do a preceptorship and we get to where whatever scrubs we want!

As if graduating wasn't a big enough incentive

Our preceptorship is only 5 weeks (or 90 hours). I'm pretty nervous about it. Plus 12 hour shifts are going to kick my butt.
