What color are your school uniforms?

Should have mentioned that we had 2 men in oiur classM they wore all white. Thank heavens! I also wanted to mention shoes: we wore Clinic oxfords and when we polished them we had to polish the bottom where the sole did not touch the floor.AND our :em had to be 12 inches from the floor, so in a line, they made a line. Well, since this my second post, I obviously could go on & on.

Navy blue V neck scrub top, we can pick our own white pants ( I have a pair of iguana med and one pair dickies)of course white shoes and then when had the option of buying the navy blue scrup jacket to wear. Oh and I wear nude colored undies under my pants because you usually can see white under white.

LOL. Of course I could use a good girdle about now!

What I want to know is WHO did the panty check?

My great aunt was a Scottish hospital matron of the "old school". She inspected bloody everything about her nurses. Including hem length and straight stocking seams.

I wouldn't have liked to be on the harsh end of her tongue...no way!

I like our uniforms - they are royal blue, all white shoes and socks w/ the school patch on one arm. I haven't bought them yet, waiting for a meeting we have in a couple weeks to find out exactly what style we have to buy. But, I've seen the nursing students wear them, and they are nice, I think.

OUrs are forest and sage green, up until this year it was open as long as it wasn't white... now we have uni's....

A quick tip - white shows through white however beige/nude undies won't show through at all

Oh you poor poor people. Our school has two options. All black, which look slick and are the students new personal favorites. Or we have the old gold tops with black pants. I dont mind either sets but they both look good, all black just looks better. I even wear black trauma pants on some days because I have yet to find a set of black scrub bottoms I like.

We have navy blue pants with tapered leg or wide leg. Then our tops are white with buttons and then we have white lab coats. They don't fade at all over time though which is nice. All you have to do is soak them in white vinegar (1 cup for a full wash load and 1/2 cup for a half load) for 30 min when you first get them (like colors only) and it sets the dyes to prevent the fading. Then you just wash them regular. After 2 yrs the senior level uniforms look just like our brand new ones.

We are white on white to...of course with the school patch thats red and white so no bleaching for us. Honestly I can get over the color...its the textrue of our uniforms that drives me crazy...its like wearing cardboard for 12 hours!! I would think I'd died and gone to heaven if they let us wear some scrubs
