Hi :D

Sorry if this question is really weird or random..lol

I'm just curious, what bags do u guys bring to school?

Do u bring tote bag, backpack or rolling ones?

I'm starting next week, and i dunno what kind of bag to get yet.

Any suggestions?:p

Also, do u guys bring ur books? leave it on lockers? or just don't bring it at all?

thanks ;)

I'm going to be using my old backpack that I've had and been using since high school. I used to go through a crap load of backpacks until my mother decided to spend a little more and get a high quality bag. Paid $75 back in 2002 and it's still as tough as ever!

I had always used a tote bag, but I found that as my books got heavier it was starting to hurt my back. This semester I invested in a decent North Face backpack. I usually only have to bring one or two books to campus, and my laptop. I see a lot of people with the rolling backpacks on campus too, but the normal one works just fine for me. Plus it has a really cute pattern. :)

lol!

you will need your books. most of my classes expect that you have the text with you, but i commute, so if i have a few classes, i'll leave 'em in my car. but be prepared...i had to buy...yes..purchase a new bookcase for all of my nursing books. some days you may have to carry a ton just for reference, depending on what you have that day.

ps. i use a tote on most days, puma has really cute "school" type bags that are both fashion friendly and functional

That just shows how all programs are different. We were told not to bring our books unless our instructor specifically says to for a certain day, and that's very rare.

I just started, and I've been bringing my purse if I don't need much (it's a huge purse that can fit everything but my binder -- everything as in my folders, pens/pencils/highlighters, a cardigan, my laptop, my lunch etc)...and if I need more, then my backpack. As I said though, we don't take books to class, so I don't have to worry about weight.

I have an Ogio roller bag which is one of the few bags that will fit my laptop. It's a green plaid, so it won't get lost in a sea of black bags.

I have a pretty plaid tote from A&F. Just because I'm going to nursing school doesn't mean I can't rock a nice bag :) No rolling bags for me, EVER.

They are also waterproof, fully customizable, and you can get them with a laptop cozy. I have friends who've had theirs for 10-13 years and they're still going strong.
