For those of you that don't know......I did find out that I was pregnant, a very surprise pregnancy....lol. I'm due January 9 (My birthday). The Fall Semester at my college is over about a week before the Christmas holidays...so that way I figure...this baby better not come before the semester is over......lol. For those of you that have gotten through your first semester...how strenuous was it....I mean...do you think it's something that an old pregnant lady like me will be able to handle....lol....I think I can do it....I want to become an R.N. too bad....lol....

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU FOR BOTH BLESSINGS THAT YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT RIGHT NOW! :hatparty:

I would strongly encourage you to take it light until after your baby is born. Take two classes that you know won't require too much of you...taking a full load MIGHT prove to be a mistake right now with all you have to look forward to in seven months...or less. :kiss

I'll only be taking Nursing 107 (which is the first nursing course in a series of 4). A that class is broken up into 4...tutorial, clinical (which is one day a week for 5 1/2 hrs.), laboratory, and lecture. These all happen once a week. I'll also be taking MTH 116(which a very low level nursing math course...and that 's one day a week also.)

Thanks Cheerfuldoer for the wonderful Congratulations!!! I won't be able to take Nursing 108 in the Spring because I'm due January 9. And it doesn't come back around until the following Spring. So in September I'm going to take A & P 2 or Micro. These are the only other non-nursing classes that I have to take. I was previously an Early Childhood Education major, and I took all the pre-req's and general education courses already. So all I have are 5 nursing courses to take.

CONGRATULATIONS On getting accepted and the NEW baby as well. Your birthday is the day after mine. My B-day is Jan. 8th. My first semester I only had 2 weeks of clinicals which were only 2 days each week. One full day and one half day. Some schools do clinicals their first semester and others don't. I would talk to the school and find out how the clinicals are set up. Take what you feel comfortable doing. Now that you are in you can take a leave if necessary and the spot will still be saved for you if you re-enroll like within a semester or two. AT least that is the way it is at the school I go to and the nursing school my cousin goes to. Check with your school on that.

    Again CONGRATULATIONS :hatparty:

That's exactly what I was planning to do....I didn't want to forfeit my spot. I'm just going to do the first semester....and take the Spring off...go back and take A & P 2 or Micro...then resume in the following Spring.....so many decisions so little time...lol
