Hi, I really like "Born" clogs and I order them from Carlsfootwear.com.. they (Born) do not make nursing shoes. I have narrowed down a few styles of nursing clogs but just haven't purchases anything yet. A good site is walkingonacloud.com

Our orientation letter said 'duty shoes', no athletic shoes.

So like the good student that I am, this time last year I went shopping and bought a pair of Cherokee Rockers with enclosed toe and heel. $50.

At our ACTUAL orientation all of a sudden, athletic shoes were fine as long as they were all white. Grrrr.

I suffered with the Rockers for a semester and bought myself a pair of all white skechers for Christmas. Best decision I ever made. I will *never* buy a pair of nursing shoes again.

New balance are also supposed to be very good shoes. I'd just make sure they were leather and all-white, and they should be fine.

I just wore a nice white pair of tennis shoes during my clinical.
Now I have a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of clogs I just bought. Both are real comfortable.

I like the reebok DMX2 line. Plan on replacing shoes more than anything else you wear. When shoes are even thinking about being shot, get new ones! Your legs and feet will thank you.

I haven't bought shoes yet either, but I have a question. Does anyone wear birkenstocks? I really love wearing them, but I am worried that if I get them they won't be as comfortable as I want them to be.

Okay, now get this....our school requires us to wear "hose" not socks. What's up with that? Living in Las Vegas I try not to wear "hose" at all because with the heat, they feel like they're going to melt right to your legs. Now they expect me to wear them every week?

    YIKES!!!

I wear Birkies, the sandals and also a pair of the shoes. All are comfortable. I work part-time at the post office, and wear the shoes. Standing in one place for 3-4 hours sorting mail, the shoes are great.
I know they do sell all white shoes and clogs. I will either go with a pair of those, or Dansko also makes VERy comfortable shoes too.

    Good luck

Hi Forevermomof5! I wear Birkenstock sandels but I haven't seen any nursing shoes made by them.

Hose would be kinda sticky in the heat in Vegas.

I hate wearing hose but I also have to wear them to clinical. At least our clinical is only two days a week.
