I just finished my 7th week of clinicals so we got an evaluation. I am happy to say that I had a really good evaluation. I am so proud of myself because I sometimes had my doubts that I'd make it this far!!

Above all else, I am learning that one of the most important keys to doing well in clinical is having self-confidence.

just started my 5th quarter. we have our first exams next tuesday and wednesday in peds med/surg and pharm. i'll know more about where i stand after that.

clinicals are going well. i'm at the level now that i do more "nursey" things and we focus on the acute. just learned to start IVs so i'm loving that. :chuckle

I am having my second fundamentals test on Tuesday. We are learning the nursing process and this week we have to do our first nursing Dx on paper. We will have our patient on Thurday and then we are expected to come up with a nursing Dx for the patient. We are ok in A&P at this point. We are working on the Skull bones. In health and nutrition we are going along fine. Right now we are working on the digestive system. All in all it's going pretty good. In nursing lab we are doing turning and postioning and a few other things. I believe next week we do enteral feedings. Looking forward to that. We have either three or four more weeks left in the skilled nursing facility, then we will move to the hospital. That is what is new with me.

Well... I'm starting Nursing I in January '03. I'm to finish A&PII this semester then on to Nursing I and Micro. So far, school is going good. I decided to take somewhat of a break this Fall. That's why I'm only taking A&PII. But, I still find myself studying for hours upon hours.
