Does anyone like their uniform? I find my uniform top to be one of the most uncomfortable and unflattering things ever made.

Seriously I look like a love seat in the thing.

Mine is going to be a blue top with WHITE pants. I'm so not looking forward to wearing that.

I won't get my uniforms until Tuesday but the tops and bottoms are Dickie's brand. You can choose between 3 different v-neck style tops- Female, unisex and male and they must be malibu blue. The pants can be any style navy blue dickies. I am so glad they voted out the white pants.

We have to wear a white v-neck scrub top or polo shirt and black scrub pants, and white leather shoes. I have a cat, so it's fun keeping the hair off the pants. But the good news is that we can buy our scrubs from wherever we want. I NEED pockets, so I bought some pants that have 6 pockets and are bootcut. I used to be a flight attendant and always wore Danskos on the plane. Even though they cost a pretty penny, my feet were happy, so I splurged and bought a white pair for school. We have a school patch that has to be sewn on the left sleeve, and a red nametag to wear on the left chest. We can wear pastel long-sleeves underneath if we get cold (but based on what I've seen on the students ahead of me, I think you can get away with wearing whatever color you want). No more than two earrings per ear (studs only) and hair out of your face.

I'm not a fan of the black pants because of pet hair, but after reading all of the possible combinations I could have been stuck with, it doesn't seem so bad...

I had the pleasure of ordering mine today. Ceil blue top, navy bottoms.... Not bad. However, they are the worst cut Cherokee offers. The tops are so boxy, and I have way more hips than waist, there is either too much fabric on the back or its snug on the hips. Some sort of darting or ties would make a huge difference. The pants have TAPERED legs with an elastic waist.... :barf02:. The pants I got from Wal-Mart are half the price and 10x more flattering

My uniform is really not bad at all. Navy blue snap front scrub top with the school name embroidered on the chest. White lab coat with same embroidering. Any style white scrub pants and white shoes and hose.

I was so afraid that we'd be stuck with the all white, stiff, tapered nightmares that seem to appeal to the instructors or whoever it is that picks the uniforms out.

It's a far cry from the cute scrubs I wear for my job but it could be do much worse.

Completely white from head to toe.. Lab coats and scrub tops have school crest on the arm. Top isn't horrible, but pants are awful. They have slits up the sides that go halfway up your calf.... seriously? And white, of all colors... seems to be just asking for trouble if you ask me. One of the girls in my long term care clinical was removing an extremely full bedpan from under a pt and some of it's contents splashed up on her white uniform.. I always carry an extra pair with me just in case!

Patients (especially elderly ones) usually love the white uniforms, say that we look like angels and that it's so nice to be able to easily distinguish us.

Ours are ceil blue top with logo and ceil blue pants as well. Optional white lab coat with logo if we choose to wear them. I don't think I could ever wear all white! Just too many fluids to be around...no way would I stay spotless for longer than an hour.

At least you guys get to wear pants! At my school, many years ago, we had to wear blue and white pinstripe DRESSES with white stockings and white shoes (no athletic-type shoes.) Stupid white cap (but getting our black RN stripe was fun) and absolutely no nail polish, earrings, necklaces; we could only wear a simple wedding band without stones. Hair had to be "put up" off the shoulders. The dress even had a white apron thing over the front, so we looked like waitresses. (Actually quite fitting, today, huh?) Knee-length lab coats. We weren't allowed to use calculators. I must say, I can't imagine wearing anything but white underpants under white pants, tho.

Hmmm sounds like my school...I guess were showing our age...LOL.

Mine's ok. I have no idea who decided that white scrub pants and snap-button top was a good idea, though. I'm always worried that Mother Nature will show up unexpectedly; not to mention the fact that there's the very high possibility of getting bodily fluids on us. Then I worry if I ever have to deal with an unruly patient that they could potentially rip open my top. But I know it could always be worse...

Ours are royal blue or white, whatever style you want. I have all blue Dickies. We need white lab coats to go in the night before to get our patient assignment. School patch on the sleeve and name tag and hospital id. They fit OK but I do feel a bit like I'm channelling Violet Beauregard :)
