This makes me disappointed!

Hello All,

So as a nursing student, I take my curriculum & education serious but when I overheard a pre-nursing student say,

"I'm gonna go into nursing so I can offer sex to a hot doctor and marry him for his money and than divorce him and leave the nursing profession"

AND

If she hooks up with a doctor, she'll not do her job and not care for patients because the doctor runs the show.

Even stated that when patients are asleep that she'll steal from them and never get in trouble because she is his princess

She also says she would pay an agency that will do her homework which unfortunately does exist.

I should tell the dean of nursing because who needs a idiot like that in the profession.

She thinks this is the movies

And what doctor is hot after all those years of studying and residency which wears you out and makes u look old.

All my doctors are old with saggy eyes.

Best advice I can give you: Worry about yourself and don't get caught up in any drama with your classmates!!! Is this what you want to think about, or wouldn't you rather think about your studying or doing something fun for yourself if no need to study tonight?

She may be able to pay an agency to do her homework, but she won't be able to pay them to do her clinicals or take her NCLEX. It's students like these who, if they even make it into the nursing program itself, will weed themselves out pretty quickly.

Focus on yourself. Don't let others affect you.

Don't be disappointed by people you have no investment in. It's a waste of your energy.

:woot: Whoa!

That's a girl with a plan. It's not by any means solid, but, it's a plan.

Also, some docs do remain hot even after the stress of everything. They basically stay in a cave that whole time so the sun can do no damage.

I wouldn't worry about this chick. If she needs an agency to do her homework, she won't really come correct with the chops on the entrance exams to actually get in to a program.

Everyone else has summed up my opinion on this. But I would like to agree with another poster that there are definitely still some hot doctors. I'm happily married, and even if I wasn't my goal in life is not to sex up a hot doc and be a lazy nurse, but pretty things are nice to look at while wiping A$$ and getting yelled at by irrational families. They may be like a diamond in the ruff, but they definitely exist. Haha

Well Dang. Now I see where I went wrong - when it's too late to take corrective action.

I think it's the area I'm in but an unexpectedly high proportion of docs (male and female alike) are very attractive. They fit in with the "oiled, flowing hair" of a previous poster's preference long ago. :woot:

Really, there are plenty of checks and balances along the way in nursing education. You can't pay someone to go to your skills checkoffs, or do your clinical. You have to do a hand vein scan to take the NCLEX. I know it feels like you have important knowledge that you want to share with the dean of your school, but this student will fail herself out. Or mature and surprise you. All good either way.

Im just flabbergasted on some of the stuff said.

Stealing from a patient is definately not worth losing your job over and possible criminal charges and yet admitting she's gonna do it. WOW!!

Sounds like shenanigans to me...there's been a pattern of recent threads started that seem simply too dramatic and far-fetched to be true.
