For our school patho is taught as a pre-req not course work. The professor is tough, very tough. She's also very fair just with high expectations.

She has a student with a language barrier and the school is trying to locate a patho tutor for her and she wants to give them my name as her first choice.

Yipes.

Specializes in Med-Surg, Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac.

That's quite a compliment.

Tutoring on a subject you're currently taking might be tough and time consuming. I couldn't do it. On the other hand it could help you learn more in depth and help out a fellow student and that's good kharma. :)

I'm done with patho, in my first semester of the nursing program (Patho was last fall)

The school doesn't employee students to tutor classes they haven't taken/excelled in.

I'm just still very much in shock, partially because they are so picky with their tutors.

Specializes in Urgent Care.

Congrats! I am a TA for A&P II and it's a great experience- Go for it! :)

You can do it! I tutored patho, I didn't think I remembered anything, but most of it came back to me when I looked it over.

Tutoring is an awesome way for you to retain that knowledge....tutoring phys. was the best thing I think I couldve done!
