just wondering if there is anyone who will be starting in the fall. i am so excited and can't wait. i actually got in a year earlier than expected. so i will have to put my 2 youngest in daycare. they will be 4 and 3. i don't know what either of us are going to do b/c they have been with me since the day they were born.

i am thankful that i don't have to work. so hopefully that will help make it a little easier on me. i had started nursing back in 2003 but due to complications with my pregnancy i wasn't able to go back in the winter. it's been good though.

so here i am being so excited. anyone else?

where are you going to school?

i will be attending community hospital school of nursing in springfield, oh.

are you married/or do you have a s/o ?

i have been happily married for 8 1/2 years!!

do/will you have any kids?

i have 3 kiddos. 8 y/o boy, 3 3/4 y/o boy, 2 y/o daughter.

hi my name is alexis, i'm a single mother of 1 little girl name harmony who is 10mths. i just got accepted into the nursing program (lpn) at herzing college. starting date is jan.9,2008. :balloons:i'm sooooo excited!!!:balloons:

Specializes in acute care.

I'm scheduled to start fall '08 at LIU in Brooklyn, provided I pass this semester and next semester of pre-reqs. Not married and no kids.

I will also be starting in Fall 08. I just got my acceptance letter yesterday and what a nice Christmas gift that was to myself! :) I'm attending Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans and it's a fantastic program that has a very high percentage of nurses who pass the boards. They're ranked 8th in the nation for ASN the last I heard and read so I'm excited to be a part of this team.

I am divorced and have 3 kids, ages 10, and 8. I get a lot of fair warnings and questions wondering how I'll do it with kids, but so many others have done it and survived so I can too! :) I know it'll be time consuming, difficult and challenging to say the least, but I'm determined and I won't let negative talk get in my way. Has anyone else had comments about attending NS with kids? It really makes me worried after hearing this so many times from others who have already been there, done that.

I also am starting the fall of 2008. I am going to the Brandywine School of Nursing (Diploma/RN program) is PA. I have been married for almost eleven years. We have four kids. There ages are 10, 8, 4 and 1.

My 4 year old will just make the cut off for kindergarten and my littlest one will be almost 2 1/2 when he starts going to daycare. It will be hard putting him in daycare but I feel I have been blessed all these years being a stay at home mom. I will have no school in the summers so I can be home with the kids.

I too have heard negative comments regarding how I am going to manage it all when people hear my plan. I figure I have my husband and my family that will be a big support for me. I am always there when I can be for my family (husband, dad, brothers and sisters) so I figure if I need to call in reinforcements for extra help they will return the favor. They know this is important to me. My husband also gets a lot of vacation time so he should be able to just work from home if one of the kids is sick. I am just going to try to get as organized as possible. I also am just focusing on the positive. I know I can do anything I set my mind to.

Good luck to all of us!! Yes, I often get those comments as well. But like the others have said I can do what I set my mind to. So may we all do well and find more time in the day.:lol2: Maybe I will have to take up :smilecoffeeIlovecof LOL.

Mommycakers~~I too am trying to get more organized. I figure if I can get it all down now it will be easier when classes start. I also feel that I have been blessed to stay at home with my kiddos. I have since my oldest was 2.

So here's to us :balloons:
