The dreaded panty line.......

I have to wear white pants for clinical and although I haven't purchased them yet, I suspect that since they are white you will probably be able to see through them.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to hide the appearance of your underwear underneath?

I once heard that if you wear nude or tan colored bras/underwear under white it blends in with your skin and is hardly noticeable.

I have also thought about wearing support hose too thinking that if they are white or nude it may make them less noticeable and may help with circulation too.

Let me know if you have any tips.

Get your pants at Walmart. Bobbie Brooks for $9.99. You definitely can't see through those. Wear your shirt out and wear a vest or warm up jacket. And if they want to look then, well who cares?

African Americans tell me that wearing black lingerie helps to not show for them.

I wear the Bobbie Brooks for j$9.99. They are quite opaque. However, you can see a panty line. But they are Cheap, Sturdy, a lot less see thorugh than most and I wear white underware or nude and just don't worry about it.

By the way the so called 'can't see through em" pants that were mentioned. You can see though. Granted they are not as bad as most.

If it is white there will at least be a shadow. Nude panties work pretty well if you have a real problem with this.

Just avoid other colors, and prints.

You might not see it on yourself with the heavier twill fabrics but you can bet others will.

Granny panties are safest. Wear your uniform pants as uniform pants and not skin tight club wear and generally it won't be an issue. No patterned panties under white (we had an LPN that did this all the time). And sorry to burst your bubble....nobody's lookin at your *** anyway, not unless you do something to make us look. Good luck g/f.:chuckle

i wear white pants to work every single day...

and i say: wear white underwear that cover your whole darn fanny!! that way everyone can see exactly what shape it is! I'm too busy to care about my underwear at work. my biggest challenge is getting my period (i take an extra pair of pants and underwear that week!!).

However, I have found that a there are tons of white pants that you can't totally see through.

goos luck

Get the scrub pants that have 2 pockets on the butt area, they will cover up your underwear pretty well and make sure you don't wear a thong.

What about those boy short underwear? Not the ones with the high cut on the legs. I have several pairs (go on, you don't! You won underwear? Couldn't help myself there :lol2: ) Seriously, I wear them under all my pants and find them to provide good coverage and no pantie lines.

I used to wear white tights under my white pants all through school. Under that I had white or flesh colored underwear that covered my entire butt.

I start clinicals next month. We have to wear white pants and a white shirt that was purchased through the college, and these are completely see through. Our instructors have told us that we cannot wear thongs and that all underwear must be white. No nude colors allowed at all. When I purchased the uniforms I was very surprised at the poor quality of the uniforms. For two sets of uniforms (pants & shirt), one dress, two sets of hose, and one lab coat, I paid almost $300. These uniforms had threads hanging from them, and one seam wasn't sewn on the dress. I guess that I'll just wear my granny panties and hope my lab coat covers everything. I will definitely miss my thongs during clinicals.

This thread is funny (and old!). I couldn't imagine going back to granny panties...hopefully my school will not have any restrictions like that. Thongs are my friends.

Since when can people tell you what kind of underwear to wear!? Funny :)

I hate whites! If you are tall and big you look like the Michelin Man. When I was a drilling reservists I hated May-Oct each year because of the way whites fit my body. MSU uses a purple top for students. I need a 2xlt/3xlt to be comfortable in a shirt. I will need to special order my school top. (6"5"" 330 lbs isnt small by any means.)

Shannon,

When you see someone who "breaks" the rules, you'll understand why they have them. It only takes one circumstance of "cheeks" fully visible through the scrubs before it would be put into place.

NOW, I don't understand why they would say "nude" colors are not allowed, because under white scrubs, nude generally "hides" better and you can usually see the outlines of white pretty well.
