I have to wear white pants for clinical and although I haven't purchased them yet, I suspect that since they are white you will probably be able to see through them. Anyone have any suggestions on... Read More

What about those boy short underwear? Not the ones with the high cut on the legs. I have several pairs (go on, you don't! You won underwear? Couldn't help myself there ) Seriously, I wear them under all my pants and find them to provide good coverage and no pantie lines.

I used to wear white tights under my white pants all through school. Under that I had white or flesh colored underwear that covered my entire butt.

I start clinicals next month. We have to wear white pants and a white shirt that was purchased through the college, and these are completely see through. Our instructors have told us that we cannot wear thongs and that all underwear must be white. No nude colors allowed at all. When I purchased the uniforms I was very surprised at the poor quality of the uniforms. For two sets of uniforms (pants & shirt), one dress, two sets of hose, and one lab coat, I paid almost $300. These uniforms had threads hanging from them, and one seam wasn't sewn on the dress. I guess that I'll just wear my granny panties and hope my lab coat covers everything. I will definitely miss my thongs during clinicals.

This thread is funny (and old!). I couldn't imagine going back to granny panties...hopefully my school will not have any restrictions like that. Thongs are my friends.
Since when can people tell you what kind of underwear to wear!? Funny

I hate whites! If you are tall and big you look like the Michelin Man. When I was a drilling reservists I hated May-Oct each year because of the way whites fit my body. MSU uses a purple top for students. I need a 2xlt/3xlt to be comfortable in a shirt. I will need to special order my school top. (6"5"" 330 lbs isnt small by any means.)

    Shannon,
When you see someone who "breaks" the rules, you'll understand why they have them. It only takes one circumstance of "cheeks" fully visible through the scrubs before it would be put into place.

NOW, I don't understand why they would say "nude" colors are not allowed, because under white scrubs, nude generally "hides" better and you can usually see the outlines of white pretty well.

The first time that I tried on my white top and white pants I felt like a marshmellow or the Pillsbury Doughgirl. I'm sure this white uniform isn't going to look as nice coming out of clinicals as it did at the beginning of the shift.

What an entertaining thread! But I'll add my two cents:

White shows under white. No matter what. Get some undergarments that match your skin...off white, nude, blush, mocha, cocoa, black. The secret to avoiding VPL? A (seamless) panty with the elastic that hits in the 'groove' where your butt meets your leg; or a 'v' string.

I wish someone would tell my school that 'white widens--black slims.' LOL.

    My lord...

I'm actually quite surprised as a guy that women contemplate this so much.. seems sort of silly to me.
