TEAS EXAM: I failed...Anyone take it with some advice?

I didn't do as well on it as I thought I would. The science was my worst section too. I made a 79% altogether but I don't remember what I got on the science portion. I think if you study just the science part, you will do better the next go-round. Good luck!

I recently took the teas test and I didn't do as well as I could've or should've done especially on the science portion of the test. I definitely know how you feel. Sorry to hear that you didn't pass the science portion of the exam, which is completely random anyhow, but I actually went to my local library and got a ged science book and it pretty much covered all the different sciences. I think the book was very informative with the information, but it's just too much to study at once.

I am taking my TEAS this month. I am so happy to find a nursing website that talks about this type of nursing entrance test. I have been studying forever for this test. Demel, I'm going to be taking the TEAS test in a couple of weeks as well. Have you been studying from an actual TEAS study guide or what have you been using to study? I bought a book from Barnes and Nobles made by Petersons which targets all nursing entrance exams.....do you think it will help?

Yes I have the same exact book, I have two exact. I have also been studying for a GED prep book, it has all the same material that some of you mentioned, like earth science, I have studied all the sciences except this one, until I read a post, that this type of science will be on the TEAS. I am so happy for all of you, I can't wait to become a RN.

Hi,I took the exam twice and failed.Why I failed?I should have waited till I was more settled. Yes, they gave me the same exam (I think) or questions similar.The exam isn't hard, but I am one of those anxiety test takers.Now that I am done with all my pre's,I am giving myself two weeks to go over everything.They usually give you a print out;just go down the print out and work on your weaknesses.

The school I am applying to, has the TEAS RN nursing school entrance test. I only have two chances to take their TEAS, after that, I can't go through their RN program, That sucks!!!. How many chances do your school give you? I will have to pay $25 dollars each time for the test.

My school does not specify how many times you can takes it;they just said every 30 days. I am applying to the RN program at my school as well and I just want to past it this time with high scores.I have been focusing on my weaknesses on the math and science sections. At my school yo have to get a 70 on the reading,65 o the math, and am overall ati score of 75,so I'm not panicking just working a lot harder. I wish you the best of luck! I too am excited for each and everyone of us! What a blessing it will be to be able to save lives and help others who are in need as nurses! I will get a GED prep book then and begin studying the science part! I am dreading the test cause i have not had anatomy in life 4 yrs! I have taken so many classes i can't kepe up and cause it has been so long can't remember anatomy, the basis of all things in nursing! So, i am spending the next three wks preparing for the test and will read my anatomy and chemistry books cover to cover! I will also incorporate the phyical science portion once i get me a GED prep book from like the public library. So what are some of the things i will see on the test? Are there analogies, synonyms, antonyms? what should i expect? Grammar, spelling, sentence completions...? Can someone give me a heads up?
