sugestions

I had a talk with my clinical instructor. she said I was doing great, but I could work on assertiveness. That was the only suggestion she had. how do I get better with this(outside of the hospital it's not an issue) since I am new to the healthcare thing. she wasn't mean about it. it was just her suggestion when I asked what I needed to work on.and I would like to improve

Congratulations! That sort of feedback indicates that your instructor believes you are on the right track - with observation, comments, and opinions that need to be expressed.

I would suggest that you practice 'speaking up' in your post conferences. Don't just sit there and let a couple of other (louder) students dominate the discussion. Remember, your instructor believes in you - speak up with confidence and don't be afraid to contradict or question others when necessary.
